Guest ben
i e-mailed the blueroom speakers website about simon g, as they gave no reference to him in their history, and seeing as he set them up i thought it was a little rude! anyway, i got an e-mail back from the man himself! gave an account of what happened with blueroom, which is generelly quite sad, and also what he's up to now. here it is: >Thanks for getting in touch, you are indeed right, I did found the original blueroom loudspeakers, designed all the products and then set-up the label. Unfortunately as I had no input to the construction of the new website (which is a cool website) the guys controlling the information left me out of the history and have not credited me for my designs, rest-assured I have notified the new company Scandyna who is now controlling blueroom loudspeakers and hopefully this will be rectified soon (podspeaker web designer please take note!!!). So what has gone on since Blueroom released? Well have to say I got quite disillusioned with the label as new management for the labels got settled in and held back our planned releases. It was real frustration having some great albums (Dendron, RND technologies, to name but a few) and compilations (Music for modern technology, interface vol 1, flashback etc) held back, that I gave it a year and it still didn't improve. It was a frustrating time for all the artists involved too. Blueroom was such a great way for like minded creative people to meet. So I had no choice but to move on, which was real sad. But I did one compilation for Atomic called Corrosive breaks Vol 2, and then decided to get back to designing, which had been my original passion. So, to get myself back in the saddle, I have designed the minipod bass-station and cinepod for blueroom loudspeakers, which you may have seen on the podspeakers website. But my real passion and time consuming project has been the formation of my new design company/project Si-Fi. I have many designs for new loudspeakers/audio technology and Si-Fi will be where they will be released from. We have been all (I have a great new team) working really hard putting new energy into Si-Fi for the last year and a half and we are just about ready to release our first product range which I hope will be as exciting for people to enjoy as my first podspeaker the housepod ten years ago. So watch the skies, and for Si-Fi(.com soon!!!) in the next few months, and contact me to tell me what you think. best regards Simon<
