Welcome back, Hippieshaman. How's it going? Are you still working as a driver (if my memory serves me correctly)?

Posted

Took a leave from Office. Too Disturbed now a days. Not able to work, with parents forcing me to quit the job as a BI Developer and opt for higher studies and I'm not able to make my mind on what i want to do :(

Posted

BI developer? What is that if I may ask?

Also that sucks, I also need to decide soon. I'm thinking about of being a chiropractor.

Lying on my bed as it rains heavily outside & my son sleeps listening to VA - "Twist Dreams" (Suntrip) on my headphones. Deciding if I should sell my Moog Sub Phatty & get a Korg MS-20 mini instead...

Why the trade?

Just not finding it inspiring anymore. I think the MS-20 is more what I'm after, as well as the Korg Arp Odyssey mini coming out later this year. I'm also trying to go modular with the Pittsburgh Modular Foundation 3.

Arp Odyssey Mini? Are you sure it's going to be a mini, I thought it is going to be full sized.

It will be customizable,

it's full size when it ships but you can turn it into the mini version by breaking off the keys along the dotted line, like this:

That is such an awesome feature, Korg are such innovators these days.

Each unit will come with a sword, officially called the 'Mini-izer'. Just chop off those pesky extra key parts!

Of course, it's a mini sword. But it gets the job done. ;)

It also comes with headphones, but it uses a mini-jack (is that right or is it micro-jack?).

Definitely mini. On gear slutz they did a comparison of the demo model from korg to the original & the demo was about .25% smaller at least.

25% sorry. A quarter of the size with a smaller amount of keys. I spent a fair amount of time at my local synth shop chatting with the owner of the store. He pretty much said Korg are purchasing rights to rebuild a massive amount of vintage synths in an affordable miniture format for the new generations of musicians. The a MS-20 Mini showed there's a huge market in both the amateur and pro market. I mean NIN's synth player uses the mini MS-20 in his live setup.

Just recovering from an early love making session listening to the Nervasystem album in bed with my wife snuggled up next to me. Nice way to start the weekend!

Sorry to be pedantic, but a quarter of the size is called "75% smaller".

Headed towards the suntrip party in Tokyo, well not Tokyo but somewhere near, well not near but not a plane ride away. Should be worth the trip out!

My wife (pregnant with our second child) has had a migraine since Wednesday & has been in hospital since yesterday. She's fine, just being monitored. I had a well paid dj gig this morning so did that whilst my folks looked after our first born. Sitting in the hospital now bored, listening to The Call Of Goa & hoping we can go home soon. My wife & her pregnancy is fine, I miss my son lots & want to play with him!
