Rotwang Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 Reminded me a bit of this album (which most people here seemed to hate, but I liked; either way a lot of stuff seems to have been influenced by it over the past few years). Quote
Insejn Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 VA - Moon Unit from 2005 comes to mind. http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/apx/apx1cd003.html Quote
ollylovesgoa Posted April 19, 2011 Author Posted April 19, 2011 Thanks very much! The Highcosmos album is great, heard a bit from him before, his tune on V/A Crazy Tunes is brutal. Both are really nice for dark trance, though not as light-heartedly twisted as the galactic monkey stuff i'm really hankering for. Quote
Rotwang Posted April 19, 2011 Posted April 19, 2011 Thanks very much! The Highcosmos album is great, heard a bit from him before, "Them", actually - it's a collaboration between Highko and Cosmo. Quote
ollylovesgoa Posted April 19, 2011 Author Posted April 19, 2011 Oh! Well in that case i'm more familiar than I thought, Cosmo is incredible, I've listened to Akustical Pollution every few days for weeks since I got it. Quote

True, until I saw him life once @ Full moon festival and he actually blew me away, so psychedelic! and indeed Highko and Cosmo released separate albums. Maybe you could try Zik? http://www.myspace.com/zikmuzik http://www.discogs.com/artist/Zik Quote
ollylovesgoa Posted April 23, 2011 Author Posted April 23, 2011 @ Ormion, yeah that's the style! Catawampus Records seem to be a rare little label that releases stuff like that, I got hooked on the small and specific style after seeing Loose Connection in Liverpool (near where I live), I'm still waiting to see Cheryl Technomedic do a set, they're famous for being incredible 'round here, as she's the Catawampus recs resident dj. @Sideffect, ooosh! Not exactly similar to my link but without a doubt insane darkpsy, more mental than twisted! Cheers. Quote

True, the tracks on his myspace are like new. But his albums from 2003 is what I had in mind, but I don't find any links on the web. Quote
