As you know, I have a 2 year old and he is very healthy. Funny as crap too. We were hiking and I removed a large tree branch from the trail and my son who doesn't pronounce the letter s serenaded me with "Daddy has a big dick" for 20 minutes. Yes I do son...yes I do. But I digress....

So when we took him to the doctor for his appointment the guy recommended we see an endocrinologist to make sure there is nothing wrong with his hormone levels. Really? Look House I'm not very tall. My wife is even shorter. I'm pretty sure we aren't on the verge of delivering the next Yao Ming. But like a good sheep I went anyway. As expected the Dr. (very nice but had an Indian accent that could crack a hot sidewalk; normally not a problem for me because I studied under the master

but she was tough to understand) said there was nothing wrong with his levels and that the X-ray showed normal bone growth. But then she recommended we go see a gastroenterologist to verify why he is small.

2 $50 copays to see a specialist and $50 for the cost of the x-ray our insurance didn't cover just so you could tell me that my son is short. No f*cking sh*t detective he has small parents!

Look, I'm glad that we went, even though I'm out some green because if they had found something then of course you would want to know. But damn is it frustrating to have to see several doctors to tell you something you already know. You are probably wondering what this has to do with Red Gravity. Nothing...think of it as a small peek into the window of my life.

This is Leo Petrus from Sweden who has appeared on the Twist Dreams comp as well as the remixed Filteria thing. He decided to give these tracks away and that was awful nice of him. The link is down below. Some of the tracks are really short and seem like snippets of some stuff he might've been working on. There isn't a theme here as he just uploaded some past stuff for free. Nicey nice.

Smaple- Made from some of the best sh*t on Earth. Oh, Smaple. Well, that's different. It's a nice little goa tune with echoing leads above a Colorbox type bass line. It's fast and has some nice twists and turns, but like Kanye Imma let you finish this and then get back to you.

Padda- I really liked where this was going until the key change. It has some nice melodies and a real old school feel but it seemed like a collection of ideas in a rough draft. The bounce is good but someone hit the Kanye button again.

Urflipper- Look Leo that could've been 3 really good tracks if you would just finish them. Don't give us snippets as that only teases with what could've been. So once again, play me out Kanye...

Modern Society- Ok, now this is more like it. Almost 6 minutes so I feel I can invest in it. It has nice layering of goa melodies as the sounds switch up. It's not an all out assault, but more of a grooving undulating tale. It bubbles and has an organic taste that sounds pretty good. Maybe the sample could have some music behind it so that it isn't such a stark contrast and flow ruiner. Just one rectum's opinion. Liked the track sir.

Mixdownfixdown- Experimental sounds, soaring melodies that sparkle in the sun. It plows ahead full steam as modulated leads scream and get twisted like pretzels. The groove is also good as the layers keep coming, some with growling capability. It reminds me of Etnica and that is never a bad thing.

Colors of Chaos- Twisting the cutoff builds the tension as the lead rises and falls. Crunchy with a stand offish quality as the highs and the lows play off each other. More layers fatten this beast up and it's aggressive like UX would do. The lead is choked out like a UFC fight as it twirls in widening circles. I'm spinning, spinning...

Katana- Leo we discussed this. You looked me right in the eye and said you understood. No more patterns.

Pyramoons- That moon is sizzling! Mangle that lead brother, as this one has all the makings right from jump. Twisting leads, rapid fire kicks, searing synths...It just keeps kicking. Outta the way grandma!

Nosam- What did I tell you Leo? These unfinished patterns are begging to be sorted out.

Pleydo- I liked play dough. Except for the way it made your hands smell. I knew a kid that ate that sh*t. Nasty. This is a mid tempo goa track that bounces with hot fire. The break is smooth as one of the leads still fires. A perfect example of a track that just needs some finishing touches. Me likey.

Rules of Defiance- This one starts of slowly but grows in intensity. It bubbles and whirls with different leads taking center stage. Almost progressive in its intent. While not my favorite, I like the ideas he put in here.

Anadi Vasana- More twirling sounds with a nice helping of light. The standout part for me was the percussive tapping in the break. Nothing groundbreaking, but it was a nice way to break things up. See what I did there?

First off thank you very much for giving these tracks away. You didn't have to do that and I wanted to let you know that it was appreciated. I know you're on to other things, but I hope one day you revisit this collection and give it the polish it deserves. There are a lot of great ideas and melodies so with proper mastering and thickening up, this could be a quality release. The talent is evident and Leo seems to have a more old school sound than a lot of today's producers. I recommend you check this out.

Get it in MP3 or FLAC

Colors Of Chaos may as well have been on a Suntrip compilation. Best track here, really good. It also shows a lot of premise of Red Gravitys talent. Mixdownfixdown is also a good. Otherwise I found this a little lacking, mostly feeling unfinished. The tracks are solid but don't really stand out, but since it's free who cares! Check it out if you haven't already.
