djmaxfactor1995
I love Martial Arts. Bruce Lee is an example of the last reincarnation and then Nirvana. He became pure energy. He just left, he did not die, he transformed. Anyway, this is a new movie about Bruce Lee's Sifu, Yip Man. Check out this scene that I uploaded: I am having difficulty embedding the video. abasio
My favourite is actually Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=suqr6ax8D28 It had some nice elements to it, especially his inner deamons.

abasio
Yeah, Jason Scott Lee. I was sceptical at first but was won over after the movie. I've not seen the movie you posted but it had a distinctly Rocky feel to it. Does boxing count as Martial Arts as I liked a lot of the Rocky films (the the last ones though ) How would a guy wearing boxing gloves ever hope to win a fight with a guy bare fisted? Rotwang
How would a guy wearing boxing gloves ever hope to win a fight with a guy bare fisted? Actually, according to QI there are more deaths in boxing now than there were before gloves were introduced - wearing gloves makes the boxers do less superficial damage to their opponent but it also means they can punch harder and for longer without fucking up their hands. Rotwang
Personally I don't like the modern trend for CGI and choppy editing instead of proper choreography that a lot of Western films use. Give me proper stuntmen like Tony Jaa or early Jackie Chan any day. http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=6eV8hc-6WvY http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=kWpQi3_v7Zc That Yip Man 2 scene was great BTW, is the whole movie worth checking out? Aye, but the bare knuckle guy would knock out the guy wearing boxing gloves quickly and therefore should win quite easily.
karan129
Dunno if this counts as martial arts but it's good stuff. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wha0brbb_44
djmaxfactor1995
Thank you for participating...I love martial arts. I agree that Tony Jaa is a total bad ass. I only liked him in the first Ong Bak. His martial arts ability is unbelievable and it was edited and choreographed in the first Ong Bak, perfectly. All subsequent films have been very disappointing. I don't care too much for the use of wires and such. I was very much influenced by Martial arts... the first movies that I saw were Enter the Ninja and Revenge of the Ninja. But, I still like "Bloodsport"and Perfect Weapon with Jeff Speakman. Dragon: The Legend of Bruce Lee: Awesome. Of course all of Bruce Lee's work including his philosophy... I loved the fight scene against Chuck Norris. Lately, I really liked Shinobi: Heart Under Blade. I gotta go to sleep...

djmaxfactor1995
Sorry folks, the distributors of the movie in the Philippines flagged the clip, I had. They are not the copyright holders and only have rights in the Philippines. But You Lube has cowered again. So, that video is bye bye. It's up to you to keep this forum going. But there has not been much response anyway, so I guess I shall euthanize it. Thank you. Max Factor
ion1zed
I don't like modern CGI and wire stuff, too. The only martial arts action films that REALLY flashed me and reinvigorated my love for the genre, have been "Flash Point" and "Kill Zone", both starring Donnie Yen as main actor. Flash Point final fight http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oSv9EHXPd1c Kill Zone - Yen vs. Jing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4wwnmBqPloM Will never get tired watching the fight scenes of those two movies. I liked the two "Ip Man" movies as well, but I enjoy modern settings a bit more. If you haven't seen those two movies, I highly recommend them! They are both full of awesome action scenes and stunt work. But if I had to name one fighting scene, which is the best imo, I probably would have to pick the restaurant scene from "Tom Yum Goong" with Tony Jaa. It's just sooo unbelievably good. Drosophila
One of my favorites Not a classical martial art movie per se, more like a samurai movie, but its awesome!
Jon Cocco
The last two fight scenes in Kill Zone (called SPL in Asia I believe) with Donnie Yen and Sammu Hung are some of the most impressive I have ever seen. Other than that, Fist of Legend (Jet Li), The Protector and Ong Bak had some superb fighting choreography/scenes and many above. Also, check out Princess Blade (choreography by Donnie Yen). RTP
Ong Bak ... the first one. It's just plain massive. But there also was another film starring Tony Jaa ... Tom Yum Goong it was called (I mean the elephant film). I liked that one even better because it's not as serious as Ong Bak... Ong Bak 2 was not that good. And there's a third one, but I don't know it. But the Drunken Master 2 (which is called "Drunken Master" in german) is even better than the modern stuff... More good ones I don't know. I really wanna see a Bruce Lee film one day... Oh and Old boy is great. Sick film.
psytones
Any Wu-Tang Clan fans here? Personally I really love Shaolin Assassin http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0081506/ its the dopest martial arts movie of the dope in my opinion.
