Psybro
I am curious what VST would best emulate this sound : thank you much appreciated
LuisBSF
Which one? The strings or the vangelis like lead from the keyboard at the top? He's playing more than one instrument A good virtual analog like sylenth could do nicely with either I reckon.
needle ninja
The top is a string synth, a dedicated analog synth for strings alone. I once had the chance to get one, but couldn't The bottom is an old organ that many VSTs will emulate quite well.

GaySatanicHippie
In terms of VST Emulation: Omnisphere! It has lots of samples from a bunch of those old synths that you can tweak to your hearts desire. I actually made a patch a week ago that sounds a lot like the string synth on top that he plays first. So check Omnisphere out, its a great synth anyways Edit: Heres the track I made with that patch, the sound comes in at 6:05. Not exactly like the one from the video, but kinda like it. Im sure you could tweak it to be closer to the one from the video. http://soundcloud.co...hippie/aquadrat Edit2: I looked it up at home, the patch is based on a Roland Jupiter 8 sample.
