hello

In case you use apps such as kazaa and msn messenger, there is a chance that you are infected with the "w32.blaster.worm" (discovered on: August 11, 2003).

The three simple steps to fix that are :

a) If your windows keeps shutting down with a message about RPC do the following :

Start / Settings / ControlPanel / AdministrativeTools / Services.

right click on Remote Procedure Call (RPC) and click on Properties and go to the Recovery Tab. Select the option 'Take No Action' on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd failures.

B) Remove the virus with the tool http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcen...moval.tool.html

c) Update your windows system with the patch http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=823980
