Ok, here's my list...

DK - Murder Wasn't The Bass (DK8 1.5)

Thomas Schumacher - The Simpleton

Normally was going to post "Fabulous 23s - It's Fucking Dark" but it wasn't on youtube so I posted this one instead, the other one is slightly better though.

Kratzer - Baby

Osmo - Mind Tripper

Sulfurex - Point Break

Post yours if you like

Haven't heard a lot of techno but definitely Manhasset, Mind to Mind, Spastik, Plasticine, Gantz Graf, Breathless.... Techno is just so good at conveying a sense of the ineffable, you get this feeling you're barely scratching the surface of something immense and profoundly deep. Here's my list...

hmm... mixed feeling about this because I find that techno is still one of the styles where the DJ himself plays a crucial role. Most of the time the DJ will use the tracks as "tools", he'd blend in 2 different tracks, or make the climax longer or edit out the boring part... I'd listen to an absolute stormer in a set and then when I finally got my hands on the actual track I'd be very dissapointed cause it sounds so dull compared to the DJ's version played :(

like for example this:

which is actually a mash-up of these tracks:

What do you guys think of Breathless? When people mention Laurent Garnier they talk about Acid Eiffel, Wake Up, The Man with the Red Face etc... but, for me, Breathless seems to be on an entirely different level. The manner in which the layers come together in this track...you can only listen in amazement.

Sometimes I find the line between them hard to draw. I guess I need to listen to more music.

Got to be the first Laurent Garnier track in the world that I actually tend to LIKE a bit! Surprise surprise! Never saw that coming personally.

ooooh now THAT brings back some memories! Program2 was one of the VERY first non-commercial electronic music I've ever listened to in my life thanks to a cassette tape that a friend had. That said, my personal fave was this one:
