Ormion Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 I know we had many collection topics before, I'm just curious to find out who has the biggest collection out there. Ukiro? Draeke? I know seraph and deathposture had a loooot, but afaik they stopped collecting. Any idea who might have *drumroll* the biggest collection in the world? I have around 690 btw. Not that bad I guess. KozmikTentacles Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 Ukiro has a huge collection of psy/goa vinyl. According to his Discogs account, it says 3857 titles. Quote
Ormion Posted October 19, 2011 Author Posted October 19, 2011 Ukiro has a huge collection of psy/goa vinyl. According to his Discogs account, it says 3857 titles. Huge indeed. I wonder though how many of them are psy/goa. Quote
abasio Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 How about Senobyte? I remember back in the day he was buying everything. He was buying multiple copies of everything too 😱 so he must have a fairly large collection. Quote
mars Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 WRT vinyls, I think Ukiro is a good pretender for the gold medal. For CDs, I heard Senobyte or Melancorypha were the biggest collectors. Quote
Tatsu Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 I don't know if people still update their discogs account but Senobyte "only" has 851 items in it (if it's even his account anyway). Wasn't able to find Melancorypha but Ukiro is up to 3857 items. I think he takes the cake so far. Quote
Oopie Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 We can close to topic now (what's with me closing topics all time these days?) It's this guy: http://www.discogs.com/user/musikullus Quote

Tatsu Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 That collection is insane. Does anybody know that guy? Btw. Draeke who used to post here also has a huge collection: http://www.discogs.com/user/draeke It's not as big as that other guy's but still... Quote
abasio Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 I believe Ukiro once posted pics of his collection. Even the storage looked wonderful 😍 Quote
GagaISM Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 Here's my rag for Death and Thrash Metal. I have another one like this for electronic music. The picture is old though. So it wasn't totally filled up yet. I now have a couple more boxes that I keep under the table. Quote
Tatsu Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 Wow, solid collection you have there! How many items do you have in total? Quote
GagaISM Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 Wow, solid collection you have there! How many items do you have in total? I have two racks with LP's and 7"es as well. I reckon around 1500-2000 items total. Oh and there's the demo tapes too... Maybe 200-300 of those. The crown jewel is Morbid Angel's Domination in the Slime Pack edition. It goes for around 1200 bucks. There's only 4-5 copies left on earth. Not that anyone not into that style of music would care lol. http://askearache.bl...ack-fiasco.html Quote
Tatsu Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 To me it doesn't matter what non-enthusiasts of a style think about it but it's totaly awesome to have such a rare release. I own the pleiadians vinyl with the star's map scratched into it: http://www.discogs.com/Pleiadians-Alcyone/release/345836 There are 200 copies around, not just five. it's still the crown jewel of my collection. Stuff like that can't be understood from non-collectors I guess. Quote
GagaISM Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 That's awesome! I'm up to 67 Psy CD's now. But I'm somehow happy I first started collecting now. There's a lot of stuff I used to listen to/would have bought that just didn't hold up in the long run. Quote

draeke Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Well I don't recall the details as this story is from 2003 or smth but if I am not wrong it was him or a friend tripping and decided it was nice to experiment with fire or smth and to see the light behind the vinyl on the non decorated side so that the stars would shine.. but then he got the vinyl too near to the flame and well, it melted it.. :S Quote
