StraydoG
Came into the GOA scene pretty late so I dont have a massive collection or wantlist but what I do have I really like. Favourites beings Astral, MFG, Dimension 5 & Chi-A.D. So Im asking for recommendations based on the list below of what I have (old school only as Im upto date with newer stuff). Its a hard ask cos I know everyone wants to recommend things which are regarded as classics or must have for collections but looking based on the stuff I already have. Artists or comps is cool, gives me some good youtube listening while working at the desk to add things onto my wantlist. Any help is much appreciated, last spend up before I start saving! draeke
where do we start? there is a whole world out there for you to be discovered, almost too big i dare to say.. I would advise you to check the classic labels such as: Dragonfly, TIP, Flying Rhino, Transient, Twisted, Phantasm, Matsuri, Koyote, Nova Tekk (tremendous digipacks to be discovered), Fairway, Blue Moon... i cannot list single cd as i would spend an hour typing then.. I guess you should really discover the releases of the fundamental labels and make up your mind on what sound you do prefer. When I was at your stage of listening, ie barely discovered it, in 97, I got immediately hooked by Green Nuns, Hallucinogen, Etnica, Doof, Total Eclipse, UX and many others.. have a safe ride

radi6404
Here's my list... http://www.listology...bums-and-tracks Hi man, you are still here, great to here again from you. This list pretty much does it for me aswell. Tracks mentioned like Magic Frequencies, Trance Dance by Trilithon, and Ayahuascan Chant are some diamonds. Very good list and you have exactly the same taste as me, listing only the good stuff and not listing the crap.
Walkabout
Spirit Zone's old compils are great, particularly if you don't have an extensive album collection. I found a lot of great artists through the "Tathata" and "Global Psychedelic Trance" series. Also: Prana - Cyclone Blue Room Released - Made On Earth Xerox & Freeman - Human Race Sun Project - Macrophage TIP Singles 1-3 Fill Your Head With Phantasm 1-
StraydoG
Thanks guys. I have been listening to all the comps like distance, pulse, tantrance, destination & goa-head when working at my desk. Almost finished them, its taking alot of time! Will start on some of the artist recommendations after.
abasio
Astral Projection - Another World Astral Projection - Dancing Galaxy Astral Projection - The Astral Files Astral Projection - Trust In Trance If you like Astral Projection you should check out some of their precursor's: namely SFX and when they were disguised as various artists as you already have Trust in Trance 3, you might enjoy the preceeding two Cydonia - In Fear Of A Red Planet For slightly darker goa I'd recommend Slide - Unstable & Singularity 2-001 Dimension 5 - Second Phaze Dimension 5 - Transdimensional If you like the spacey stuff try Cosmosis (first 4 albums are great) For Sci-fi goa I'd try Darshan - Awakening Prānā - Geomantik Sandman - Witchcraft If you like these you'll most likely like a lot of the other Matsuri stuff. Check out there brilliant compilations Infinity Hz & Infinity Hz 2 as excellent introductions to some fantastic artists. Careful with Matsuri though as they were a very experimental label and if you don't like something don't write off the whole label Shakta - Silicon Trip Dragonfly had so many classics, check out the Classix & Classix II or IMO Paul Oakenfold's A Voyage Into Trance is the perfect Old School Goa mix. Well, it's what got me hooked

abasio
Wow, I didn't know they had a precursor group. I actually prefer the music under the sfx moniker than the Astral Projection one. It's raw & gritty, people'll will probably say dated but I really like it
