khogg
Avatar's website says they will re-release The Infinity Project - Mystical Experiences "soon." (whatever soon means?) Good news! I almost paid over $30 dollars for this on ebay a while ago. Glad I didn't!

Guest psyfi
well, from a collector'S point of view you should have, coz who wants to have a re-release? if it'S only about the music then it doesn't make any difference of course. khogg
It's only about the music for me. All that matters to me is that I have it on CD. Plus, they say it will be remastered, which may be a good or bad thing; I'm not sure.
Guest cielspacing
For most people its probably about the music... And whatever passion you might have for your collected items, it is probably next to nothing compared with the kind of emotions(or other experiences) this music can provoke. And the also important matter that -this way- the money we(buyers) put on this, will go to the musicians(plus dealers). So what's next; Indoor's "Progressive Trance", Irresistible Force's "Flying High", TE Delta Aquarids, etc?... Actually a ggod idea would be to release Infinity Project's 94-95 "Feeling High" music. The album "Feeling Weird" is almost 40% of remixes from other brothers, and there are other versions and tracks from that time that really SOAAARRR. ...Or what about a remastered IP boxed/digipack set including the "Uforic Flight" trip mixed as pbbly RRam's music inspired us Djs to play it? I mean get the simmilar bits from the "MExperiences" CD together with the "Uforica" and "Flute line" plus what we havent heard an let us dancers spread our wings... A boxed set could be joined by a DVD of images, sites, etc ... Real and complete inspiration for those who started later. About including newly done remixes, personally I wouldnt recommend it unless it done by people like SPosford, GTill or RRam(and pbbly nobody else). Ok, Yes, there's fantastic talent outside those mentioned but I sense that today's sound production/mastering is going to be dated quite soon, but this is another topic altogether...And I wouldn´t subject this rare combination of INCREDIBLE melodys, composition and trance concepts, together with EXCELLENT sound layering and at-that-time mixing and mastering results. Just some ideas.
Basilisk
??? Sounds like you know a lot about the ancient TIP work... if you'd like to email me I'd love to know more! I'm a big fan of the Infinity Project, but only have material from 'Feeling Weird' and after pretty much (though I do own TIP001 which is nice to own)... really I've been trying to figure out what was going on in their '89 - '95 period but information is scarce... any help would be nice, thanks! Guest Hallucinogenious
The first appearance of TIP was at Sastra's (Raja's daughter) birthday party at 1989.They played songs what were never got released, "i love my baby" (if i remember well) and other. The first track that was released by The Infinity Project was "Freedom From The Flesh" at 1992. i don't remember very well, i must re-read the history .... Guest Hallucinogenious
so here we came back from Goa, its '89. I meet my partner from this group we formed called the Infinity Project,T.I.P., the Infinity Project. I met him on the street one day, very weird cosmic meeting. He hardly played any instruments at all. He played a little bit of guitar. But he didn't have any electronics and he wasn't really interested in electronics. Somehow he came back to my house. I showed him what I was doing. He started picking up on it and coming around frequently. Before very long, he was much better on the equipment than I was. And we suddenly realized, we were making this sort of music. And we started making some tracks. And then we had a brilliant idea on December the 15th, 1989. We would have a party. And it was my 50th birthday and my daughters birthday parties. So we decided that we'd have a joint birthday party. And so she invited 200 friends, I invited 200 friends, we hired a place in the west end, in Smith Market area in the West end, a basement, and we put on a free party. During this party, we played the two tracks we had written, 'Kicking with Boris', and 'I Love My Baby'. Both tracks have never been released. And during the night, when everyone was dancing, these tracks were played and to our astonishment, people liked it. They didn't run off the dance floor. I don't know how much they liked it, but they liked it enough it sounded okay, and we thought to ourselves, man, this of course you have to remember there was hardly anybody in the U.K. There was no one making trance. There was no trance or Goa parties ..... blah blah blah. this text is from a interview-bio of Raja Ram. http://www.sputnik.ac/interview_jp/improvise.html
