SparkplugAC
Hello dear Psyheads! I'm currently living in Germany (with my cheap schoolenglish) and usually listening to Metal (Black, Pagan, Power). One evening, about a month ago, a friend sent me a link to Youtube: Electro Sun - Wicked Weekend. I was absolutely stunned by this sound! I invested the remaining part of the night to search through websites and encountered the label Ultimae Records which produces and sells ambient music (complete discography of Solar Field and Carbon Based Lifeforms laying around here ). I literally know every song of ES by heart, so I thought I could use something new. But I unfortunately couldn't find something similar to ES. I think it's a great genre but in the moment I'm a bit confused by the sheer masses of artist, releases, remixes and compilations. So: I would like to ask you about some suggestions! Liebe Grüße und ein schönes Wochenende!

SparkplugAC
Immortal rules! +1 It's kind of strang though, when you set "shuffle all" in foobar2000... GROWL GROWL GROWL ambient.
mars
Hey SparkplugAC, so what you like is the "Full On" subgenre, specifically from Israel, and specifically the cheesy side of it. I'm meaning no harm by writing this, I'm not listening to it myself but I respect it, and here's some advice: 1) You should check the whole Com.Pact records discography: Visual Paradox, Ultravoice, Vibe Tribe, Aquatica, Cosmic Tone... 2) Also give a look at the Utopia disco: Ananda Shake, Perplex, Intersys... 3) You may also look for Space Buddha, Chemical Drive, Indra... IronSun
The First two Astrix albums might be your cup of tea as well!

SparkplugAC
Wow! Thank you guys! I think it is the same with psytrance as it is with metal: you start with the "easy" stuff like Linkin Park, Disturbed and Rammstein and end up with some small garage black metal bands with no label and an audience which fits in said garage: Gallowbraid, Agalloch (yeah garage xD), Minsk. (I hope my english is somehow understandable) Gute Nacht meine Freunde, ihr habt mir sehr geholfen! Auf eine gute Zeit zusammen!
Rotwang
[...] end up with some small garage black metal bands with no label and an audience which fits in said garage. If you ever decide you want recommendations for the psytrance equivalent, you've come to the right place.
SparkplugAC
If you ever decide you want recommendations for the psytrance equivalent, you've come to the right place. Bring it! Such bands are usually the best. I also think music has to fit the moment. Berlin Alexanderplatz? Definitively electro. Black forest in the south of germany at midnight? < Said Black forest. It's just awesome to wander there, 60km away from the next street, it's raining and snowing, listening to such music and then you see some fcking wolves. A month later you walk through the sunny streets of Berlin -End of offtopic-
Penzoline
The thing is, you have to grow the ear for those kind of bands first. Man I remember when I thought Pleiadians sounded like crap and continued to listen to Astrix or something.

From what I heard about Pleiadians (two songs ) I can tell, that they're pretty nice! *note*
