E can be psychedelic but it was not really meant for the trance scene- thats why a lot of really @!#$ music is made for the E heads now!!! Quote

Anything else I should explain? Maybe this: coke=cocaine. Speed=amphetamin. And Im sure you started the psytrance scene in 88 by yourself, except there was no such thing as a ridiculous label called "psytrance" by then. And if you dont know what part ecstacy played in the creation of many of the sounds in psytrance, well too bad, you missed out on a lot. And what is this, some contest to see who is the oldest? Fool. Guest D-Dave Posted January 19, 2002 Posted January 19, 2002 You should listen to some "screw" sounds, one of the first Etnica tracks has it, um their first EP on Spiritzone, cant remember the name, and some old Koxbox tracks as well. Remember the compilations with screws on the covers? Why did they have screws? Because the E literally screws with your head, first time I took it the room was twisted 25% like someone screwed it with a screwdriver and put it down into my head as well. Pure screw-effect. This is music from 94 Im talking about, early psytrance days, when psytrance was still techno, only just started to be labelled goatrance. Those sounds are midfrequency sounds that make your spine chill in a weird but pleasant way. Gives you ecstacy rushes. You can also listen to one of my own tracks "Neuroglider" (Battle of the future Buddhas), called "Tigerhill" by mistake sometimes. The intro, and well the rest of the track too, has a sound that creates the same feeling. It was originally made in 95 and remade in 96 and captured much of the spirit from those years. And imo most flying morning music is pure ecstacy music. Definitely Astral Projection. Hey Sugarhill, Man with no name. Pure ecstacy music. Everything with a lot of midfrequency. You know in the night the EQ is put like a V, treble and bass, but in the morning like an A, for the mid. Acid music was Psyko Disko and other heavier stuff. (Well this is one opinion of many, but it occured on more than one occation...) But I dont like ecstacy, it gave me some pleasant moments, but eating good food, taking a bath, travelling, seeing a good movie, having sex etc etc etc also gives me pleasant moments, and its not false and it doesnt give me lows, comedowns and problems with my feelings. It *did* change the way I listen to, and create, music though and for that I am grateful. Without a doubt a lot of "psy" music has been made with the idea that people take acid in the night and ecstacy in the morning. I can say that because I am one of those artists. When people take ecstacy all the time though it sucks cause they can dance for 18 hours to the same fucking boring beat with almost no sounds and NO melodies (minimal...), or the sound of a train running by, or cheesy Tiesto-trance. And I guess the Mechanic dude tried to say something like that as well... Quote

Its fun the first couple of times! then you notice the bad sides! I must say i like the acid sound ALOT more! twisted music is the best! or maybe a good variety of it all! but its the music that i like the most anyway! like hallucinogen and so on! Quote

I might be wrong.. I just don't like the whole idea of drugs.. like D-Dave said food, sex and other stuff can give me pleasant moments.. I don't need any drugs.. I've never taken any drugs so I don't know what I'm missing (which is a good thing to me) by saying drugs I mean illegal drugs... (off course, but some of you guys here are so fukkin silly, if I say I never use drugs you say "but don't you drink coffee?". btw, Most researches proves that coffein is healthy.. ) Quote

Please don't judge these chemicals because of the loads of dopeheads who abuse em. I'm not a fan of taking psychedelics just for 'fun', so..... Quote

Guest space monkey - 604 Posted January 20, 2002 Posted January 20, 2002 i never took acid, still i like all the acid music... i took quite a lot of E, when i was a bit younger and into hardcore house(gabber), it is very boring music still i did go for the music in those days, and when on E I listened intensely to what was played, so it depands on your state of mind again. now i don't use drugs, and wont judge people who do, it's everybody's choice, still drugs is a extreme form of mind expanding/pleasure and the extreme consicences are to be excepted Quote
