Penzoline Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 What think you? http://www.arabesque...d=2869&Itemid=1 They've really gotten far from their roots for sure. It doesn't sound half-bad in regards it's unique and their production is top notch, but for the love of god.. vocals. I wonder. Quote
Richpa Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 Probably there will be few interesting moments for sure, I even liked few tracks from Legend Of The Black Shawarma. Last track (sample) on Army Of Mushrooms is kinda sweet. Quote
Antares Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 Indeed top notch production as usual, and some interesting harmonies from time to time, but it seems that they have gotten Skrillex-Fever. Epileptic-wobble-house-step describes this best for me.. Seriously, you could have told me this was the new Skrillex-album and I would've believed you Well not my cup of tea, and it seems as if IM hired a trend-watcher to tell them what kids these days are into, but I guess a lot of people outside of the Psy-scene will like it Quote
mars Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 There are few tracks with vocals, this is an improvement. As for the "Epileptic-wobble-house-step" as my predecessor says, I wouldn't mind if this wasn't in so many tracks. Too much! The production sounds really good though. Quote
mike.54 Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 I'm looking forward, some tracks sounds promising! No guitars and less singing this time and for oldschool lovers there is new version of The Messenger which is amazing! I also like the electro/dubstep influence there, nice change after previous heavy metal influenced albums. http://www.beatspace.com/6999/HOMmega+Productions/INFECTED+MUSHROOM/Army+Of+Mushrooms/detail.aspx Quote
Dave Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 it took me a few clicks before i Realize its supposed to sound like this, i Thought first that the samples was screwed up on the site Quote
Lemmiwinks Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 LOL it sounds like David Guetta Vs Rusko... Messenger 2012 is pretty nice though Quote
Richpa Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 As I tought, this track is pure gold, rest of the album is well, dubstepish (this track too but it's somehow different and much better than other tracks on Army). Enjoy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=STduQe0uBJ4 Quote
Antares Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 The Messenger (2012) and Drum n bassa are ace tracks! Really like them As for the rest of the album, I applaud the production quality, and in some tracks (some may find this a bit weird) originality.. I have seldom heard this kind of mix between dubstep, electro and Infected's typical Psy. Quote
Drosophila Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 The messenger track... the original is still way better, but not bad (but that guitar in the end... painful!). The rest of the tracks sounds really over-produced in my ears... very plastic-like! The first few tracks might have something... but still, the electro sounds annoys me. Quote
Sideffect... Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 Some positive comments on recent Infected tracks? At last, I'm curious, thanx for the info Quote
Richpa Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 Good thing about this new album that there isn't THAT MUCH singing from Duvdev(ina) (offcourse if you don't like it that much). Overall it's dubstepish / electro / trance album, but in almost every track you can feel trademark Infected Mushroom sound and as Antares mentioned, production is just superb. Quote
Penzoline Posted May 15, 2012 Author Posted May 15, 2012 i totally see the appeal of stepping into a giant sphere thing that looks really cool, but ultimately, if you aren't going to play good music, like psytrance, i don't see who's going to go to your shows except maybe a bunch of psytrance for pussies bandwagon faggots that encourage you to produce shitty music. Quote
technosomy Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 has exceded my expectations, the production is off the planet! i am very picky with dubstep, but they have pulled it off imo. has some nice melodic moments, and minimal vocals thank god. better than their last 2 i reckon Quote
technosomy Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=dpFzESVN-xU o.m.g! that is so fucked!! they are so fucked! Quote
mike.54 Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 I like this album a lot! And their new stage desing with 3D mapping video projection looks amazing! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0AvjTkExkgM Will buy the CD which is out today.. http://www.beatspace.com/6999/HOMmega+Productions/INFECTED+MUSHROOM/Army+Of+Mushrooms/detail.aspx http://www.saikosounds.com/english/display_release.asp?id=9062 http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/hom/hom1cd079.html http://www.goastore.ch/infected-mushroom-army-of-mushrooms.html Quote
Rotwang Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 ^ That show looks amazing. The samples sound well-produced too, sadly (for me) it's just not the kind of thing I like. Quote
technosomy Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 god dam that show, will seriously consider going to see that if they come to oz Quote
quantumrider Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 Just awful, no creativity, sounds like the current slew of Shrillex copycats or whatever you call that... I'm going back to all the awesome old Infected Mushroom recordings... sorry about that. Quote
