Panoptes
@Monahium: If you're searching for a VSTi, I suggest Audiorealism ABL2, as suggested by PharaOm. If you're searching for a second-hand synth, beside a x0xb0x or a x0xi0, I suggest maybe a Dœpfer MS-404, or a TeeBee Syntecno. More here (in the "You Might Also Like" section) and here. @PharaOm: Nice creation! What is NWbassline? (I didn't find it on the Internet). Looks like a TB emulator We're having a lot of fun here! And we're practicing and sharpening our ears i'm running on a mac :*(. I'll have to make due without one
Veracohr
I have never created such a sound. What is it? Band-pass filter? High-pass filter? Supersaw? Overdrive? Sounds like a single oscillator saw wave with a phaser. Maybe 2 oscillators. Back to the OP: http://www.veracohr....rs-Veracohr.wav I did this: - Matched the tempo - Filtered out low and high end from the audio so I could hear the lead better - Dialed up a simple single-oscillator PWM sound on the PEK - Located the root note and recorded/inserted notes, all at the root note, to match the pattern - Listened over and over, moving notes about to get the proper pitches - Adjusted the synth sound to match the best I could. I ended up with one PWM oscillator, a little noise and a little distortion
Panoptes
for some reason it isn't working ----^
Veracohr
It's a 24-bit file, does your player have a problem with that? Maybe I'll replace it with a 16-bit version when I get home.
Goa Travellers
Pretty close to the original sound!

killiksan
ok new one guys. 3:46 the mainlead i think the track is in e minor. but i cant manage to recreate that sound
Goa Travellers
That one is a little tricky, as the sound is covered by other SFX and it's a little low...Gotta repeat the tune portion a few times! For the sound itself, it's a TB-303 sort of sound (sawtooth, overdrive) with a delay effect.
Imba
Ok, here is Etnica - Trip Tonite main melody, i reworked it 2 months ago... Goa Travellers
Imba and Padmapani: Quite nice (although Padmapani's sequence is more trance than psytrance IMHO )
Imba
Does anyone reworked some Electric Universe melody from tracks from albums One Love and Stardiver? I would like to remix some track but can't rework them
Rotwang
I recently wrote a melody editor for my music software. I thought I'd break it in by having a go at this thread: Can you tell what it is yet?

Goa Travellers
How would you create this bass sound? It sounds like a supersaw, maybe detuned with a phaser effect...
Guest neurogen
i would use reasons Subtractor (again, its really excellent for bass sounds) and it would take about 5 minutes
Guest neurogen
good luck with this i bet 100 bucks it cannot be done unless you have that exact synth http://www.aeap.se/sample.mp3
Goa Travellers
I can get a close result with a triangle wave through a band-pass filter and a chorus, but not 100% the same

Padmapani
Wow...Pretty good job, dude! thanks! i used your suggestion as a starting point. i guess one could come quite close with some tweaking of the waveform and the right choice of distortion (tried logic's and zebra's filters. only the vintage2 sounded moderately good) and reverb. and a small tip if anyone wants to try something similar: melodyne was a godsend when trying to figure out the pitch bends.
