Ooops... I made a mistake, it wasn't with Transwave "Phototropic", but "Land of Fredom"... I had this CD with another one of Koxbox, their excellent "Fuel on" track. I remember now that the 1st tune of the CD was Prana "The Earth". That was the good times...

The CD was manufactured and released by Fairway Records... Now gone bankrupt.

Too bad...

Yeah, the first compilation I bought was a double CD on Fairway. One cd was mixed by Tsuyoshi and the other by Sid Shanti. Ohhh there were some great great tracks on there like: Transwave: MDMA, Encens: Venus Zen, Witchcraft: Magic Frequencies, Highscore: True Freedom, some old Etnica, and so on.

It's a shame that label is gone. I'd love to get a copy of that compilation again just for old times sake.

I'm actually a newcomer to the scene. I've only been listening for about 10 months. I've been listening to electronica music such as ambient, house, and trip hop for about two years though.

Hello, community, well, i´m from Mexico, and the trance music arrived i think for 10 years, but really the trance was more strong since 1998, because the style of Goa and Psy was new in Meixco than the others styles like acid or Hard Trance, but in Mexico the culture every day is more strong and hard, the raves now have a new mean, they are spectaculars, i was reading an article in www.electro-reve.com.mx, about of the old years of the techno music, and the English autor said that the movement now is dissapier (go away), but in Mexico the Raver Culture every day is better, if you are of America(i say the contient no USA) or all the rest of the world, i recommend you to entry to www.kinetik.tv , to see all the good raves, and parties that we have in Mexico, but you will can fly with us and will enjoy the best groups like Skazi, Infected M, GMS, Hallucinoge, Logic Bomb, Saiko Pod, Talamasca, Astral Projection, Alien Project, Sun Project, Shiva, Kox Box, X-Dream, Atomic Pulse, Mindelight and Sharigrama :), and another excellent acts like Minde of Sharigrma, because they are Mexicans, in Mexico the RAVER CULTURE is already growing, !!!!!!, and we don´t think that this movement dead, because very day in Mexico we are following the PLUR!!!

ahh, if you guys thought i didn answer the question, i have hearing trance and techno since i had 7 years old, and psy and goa since i had 14 years, but in total i have listening electronic music 8 years, maybe you are saying that is false but is really true.

www.kinetik.tv for more info about Mexican raves

www.revealterno.com

And remember, in Mexico the RAVER CULTURE is not dead!!

i think it was in 96 or 97 wjen i got a few tapes from a guy. it was israel's psychedelic trance vol 1 and ololiuqui - dito plus some mixtapes. and this was the music i was always searching for. the ololiuqui album was the first cd i bought and i still like it very much. i didn't go to parties back then because a) i was only 13 or 14 and B) i didn't even know that psy existed in my town...
