Guest neurogen Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 this master of goa should not be forgotten. Although he is not a pioneer he is still one of the definers of goatrance from 95 and onward. My favorite tracks are Lets Turn On, and Youth of the galaxy. Lets also discuss him as a person. What is he doing these days? Is he active in production? LONG LIVE DOOF http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hzipr5bgt7Y Quote

CoLoUr DoTZ Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 I always enjoyed his chill and dub side more...... And that seems to have him busy nowadays..... http://www.discogs.com/Doof-Love-Dub-So/master/295412 Quote
Dolmot Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 I thought Love Dub So was mostly (completely?) old material. This was new, however... As for the main question, I guess it would be Star over Parvati, the upbeat version from TIP Blue and whatnot. http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=wzJAMLwM3lA Destination Bom makes a nice end-of-set stormer too. Drosophila Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 Double Dragons followed by Born Again and I guess he mostly makes chill-out these days?! Or at least he did a couple of years back. Quote

I really don`t know much about "love dub so", I know a couple of song titles from there, but not the rest. I just found it on discogs and have still not listen to it. From the old ones "Star over Pavati is my favorite, but i might be influenced by the fact that it was in the first trance record that I listened to. Tsuyoshi Suzuki - Trancentral 4 - A trip to Goa. Oopie Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 The whole "Lets Turn On" is a masterpiece, it's hard to say a favourite. Quote
ollylovesgoa Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 Double Dragons is my personal fave, one of the first tracks I remember playing on repeat for days, it's an absolute screamer. In a very close second is Let's Turn On, and then Angelina after that. Yeah Doof was absolutely sick. Quote
franki Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Double Dragons has to be my fave! Had the good fortune to see Doof live at Big Love in the UK back in 1996. Quote

I remember reading somewhere that he is also working on a singer/songwriter-project under his own name Nick Barber. Discogs came up with this: http://www.discogs.com/Nick-Barber-Clear-Blue-Sky/release/2034456 Quote
