Guest bh
Any opinions on best mixed goa albums?
Guest dcl.ear
I remmember? several Mixed albums that weren't made...maybe they will sometime in the future... Like the Bumbling loons/Gus/James 97-99 sounds. None of the reevolutions mixed CDs give that unique sound a fair chance... they all go to other sounds and places...pbbly because those other artists were part of the Label and "had" to be there somehow. Anyway that´s also our prerrogative now as djs, at least while djing at parties, Yes?
Guest Theory of Chaos
For the exceptional tracklist...Digital talk, Fungus Funk and so on.... Goa Gil "Toward the One" on Avatar Rec Really powerful night Trance.... When you listen to this mix...you have only one desire....To dance Booooooom
Guest Pyite
Retro--10 Years of Israeli Trance. I'm not a huge fan of the morning disc mixed by Lior Perlmutter, but the party disc mixed by Eyal Yankovitch vs. Erez is awesome!!!! ~Pyite
Guest TjT
A little old but very good...the 'Top of the Tips 94-98' mix by GMS on the original TIP records. I like the flying rhino mix compilations. I have raja rams stash bag 2. wish i never got it, terrible mixing.
khogg
Trancentral 4 - A Trip to Goa... the second disc on that one is mixed and it was pretty good. I don't like mixed CD's anyway. I won't buy them anymore (unless it's a two disc compilation with one unmixed CD in it).
Guest Mike D
Flying Rhino: Re:Evolution 1 is great Re:Evolution 2 the ambient mix is awesome Re:evolution IV is wicked, both discs Digital Structures: Digital DJ is pretty wicked Twisted: Twisted Session 1 is good Phonokol: Retro Vol.1 rocks, 2 sucks (great tracklisting on the Zoo-B mix but god that mixing is the worst I"ve ever heard... I know kids who mix nicer!!) L.S.D Records: Unity Dub's Voyage Into Paradise... the title says it all great dub n' chill Distance to Goa 8 mixed by Joti Sidhu (Psychaos) is just brilliant, his mixing is seamless and the tracks just rock... the first 4 mixed so well it is like 1 extened track... to bad his album didn' quite go the same way... that's about it... the trancecentral series is good to bad my mat ehas them and I can;t find 'em grrr
Guest Pyite
A well mixed cd is really fun to listen to. However, a cd that is not mixed, but the tracks flow very well is also (almost) equally fun to listen to. I really like listening to psy mix sets where the dj is not simply doing front to back mixing. It is quite possible to mix in lots o stuff while spinning full on. For example---When I used to spin Psycho a bunch, during the intro I'd bring in the voice part of Virtual Voyage. It adds a really trippy, sinister feel to the already dark tune. If anyone would like a copy of my latest mix, I'll gladly mail it to you. GMS--At the End of a Rainbow Altom--Cycles Wizzy Noise--Outmosphere D-tek vs. GMS--Los Dorados Cosma--Nonstop Spectrum--Bello Horizante Talamasca--The Missing Link (Silicon Sound rmx) Sirius Isness--Mental Model Infected Mushroom--Echonomix Tim Schuldt--7 Well, I've done enough drunken typing Namaste ~Pyite

seraph
Mixed discs can be extremely good although I don't like them myself that much but the best ones must be TRANCENTRAL 4 - A TRIP TO GOA - TSYOSHI SUZUKI MIX, TRANCENTRAL 6 - A SONIC INITIATION - MARK ALLEN MIX, KOSMOKRATOR - DECK WIZARDS - GOA GIL, ASTRAL PROJECTION - IN THE MIX, RETURN TO THE SOURCE - SHAMANIC TRANCE - TSYOSHI SUZUKI MIX, RE - EVOLUTION - CASS MIX, RETRO - 10 YEARS OF ISRAELI TRANCE - AVI NISSIM MIX & EREZ AIZEN MIX... Guest Selim
For that old-skool goa sound, the three all-time best mix-CDs are (in order): 1. Trancentral 4 - mixed by Tsuyoshi Suzuki 2. Deck Wizards: Mark Allen 3. Hypnotic Trance vol. 4 - mixed by Sid Shanti It is a pure, objective fact that these are the three best goa mix-CD's of all time. Anybody who disputes this does not know what they are talking about. -Selim (who is being only slightly sarcastic)
