Guest neurogen
whats the deal with most delays? I love a delay which happens at the 3rd (left) and 6th (right) "tap". That is 3/16, 6/16. Most delays Ive used only has 1/2, 1/4, 1/8 etc. WHY?! The only delay which actually does what I want is Waves Supertap. That one you can set to for example 3 and 6. (usually where the hihat and bassline happens in most trance, so a really pumpy tap delay) why is this? anyone care to explain? also, whats the deal with 1/8D, 1/8T, 1/8? Most delays have these options. I reckon its values between 1/8 and 1/16 but why make it so wierd? why not just base it on 16 steps (1 bar) like a normal person?? then set the tap delay to be active on one of those steps?? sigh.. the humanity.... ps. i probably misunderstand this greatly - so please endulge me and explain ps2. Reasons RV9000 (i think its called) has a wonderful tap delay which u can set to any step 1-16.
CoLoUr DoTZ
How about setting the delay time in ms or hz?? most delays allow to do that.
Guest neurogen
How about setting the delay time in ms or hz?? most delays allow o do that. sure but then its not in sync with the bpm. and searching to manually do that can be time consuming and annoying. CoLoUr DoTZ
Have a look at this app. http://lost-memories.com/softs/ You introduce the tempo and it calculates all the delays times for diferent musical figures. quite handy. Also, 1/4D= 1/4 + 1/8 = 3/8 = 6/16, but have a look to the next link where they explain it much better. http://www.musictheory.net/lessons/14 Hope it helps......
