Procyon
By the way, I used to play this track. Still one of the best acid goa tracks ever made, I wish there was a more recent version. There's an effect throughout the track that I think it's magic.

Richpa
Thanks Richpa, has he released tracks lately? After 2003, nothing, that label and artists dissappeared somehow. There were 3 dudes who made all thoose projects, from acid house to goa trance but no body kept doing it after 2003 and death of MP3.com. I've tried to get in touch with them but without any succes. Procyon
It is a pity, their style of Goa was so distinct that it could be a subgenre of its own, had they continues releasing tracks. Hope they get on the neogoa train.
Richpa
I would rather see thoose gems remastered and relased properly on CD. Especially stuff from Imperial Project (Gaia Spirits and Vimana albums)

mars
We don't know much about Cygnetic Records indeed. Saint Gallen in Switzerland is at the crossroads of Germany, Liechtenstein and Austria, close to Constance lake (so, Germanic part of CH). End of 2004, the site was already active as shown in the web archive But early 2005 is was gone and never returned, then was cyber squatted after the domain expiration. There's very few infos on discogs on the artists themselves: We have a name for Overmind Projection for instance: Roman Bossart. Alien Spacecraft/Artificial Identity: K.Skye. The Infinity Float: Ken Da Luyd. Hmm why would they stop making music like that ? Lack of equipment? Lack of motivation? Worse? Anyway I'm sure some of these guys still exist. In any case the guys had two studios with a crazy equipment list. Like they ran studios or something... and they probably met other crazy synth collectors as can be shown on their link list like here or there. If they cannot be reached directly, I bet they can in an indirect way (like they must have conacted other people through these forums/links). psymon
Does anyone remember AlienXSS? There were a bunch of tracks on MP3.com with this artist name under different categories for music styles (goa, acid, hard trance, house). About half of the goa tracks were exactly the same as on Goa Syndrome 3. The others are similar in sound so I guess they may also be the same as tracks released under other Cygnetic Records compilations. AlienXss also has a page for this release on Discogshttps://www.discogs.com/Alienxss-Psytrance-Goa/release/2535481 But the name behind the project (Simon Bay) is not linked to the Cygnetic guys (at least not on Discogs). However, this guy had released a couple of tracks on CD-s: Maya 300 on Zoo-B* – Zoo-B 2: Underground Sound Of Tel - Aviv by U.S.T.A.https://www.discogs.com/Zoo-B-Zoo-B-2-Underground-Sound-Of-Tel-Aviv/release/234063 Infected Creature on Various – Human Hyperactivation by Metapsychic Recordshttps://www.discogs.com/Various-Human-Hyperactivation/master/1586 Both of these are released under the name Alienxss but they are exactly the same as the tracks by Overmind Projection with the same titles on Goa Syndrome 3.https://www.discogs.com/Various-Goa-Syndrome-3/release/2065150 That project is linked to Roman Bossart who did have a couple of physical releases on Cyber records (which has a logo very simlar to Cybnetic's). What's strange however is that Simon Bay in groups had worked with K. Skye (Acid Squid) and Roman Bossart (Flatline) both of whom are associated with Cygnetic. And what's even weirder is that he is credited as an Accordion player on 2 pop releases:https://www.discogs.com/Various-Kölsche-Heimat-01-Ahle-Schätzje-Neu-Lackeet/release/12744515https://www.discogs.com/Various-Kölsche-Heimat-02-Jesellijes-Jemölsch/release/12748809 To me it looks like 2 different people had work together on projects but they both released the same music on different labels under different names. Or it's the same person with many names. Not sure if this is still new to anyone or it's all well known by now but I thought I'll try to connect the dots here with the minds of Psynews. Either way, going through the 2 labels that released the Alienxss versions is probably a dead end. Both seem defunct and Metapsychic Records... well you know the story. But, you might be able to reach someone through Zoo-B... unless someone haven't tried it already that is. Any thoughts?
