The Matrix Revolutions Soundtrack Information

September 26th, 2003 - The Maverick Records soundtrack to The Matrix Revolutions will be released on November 4, 2003, one day before the movie opens, and will have over an hour of music on it, including the song "In My Head" by Pale 3, which plays in the Merovingian's Hell Club (3:46), two cues that feature Don Davis' collaboration with Juno Reactor, a 9 minute end credit re-mix of Don Davis' "Super Burly Brawl" music by Juno Reactor, and 45 minutes of orchestral underscore by Don Davis. Apparently no rock bands were inspired by this movie.

The Matrix Revolutions Scoring in August

July 27th, 2003 - Don will be recording his 110-minute long score to the final chapter of the Matrix trilogy next month, with the scoring of The Matrix Revolutions. To be recorded at the Newman Scoring Stage at 20th Century Fox, the score will be performed by a 99-piece orchestra, and 80-person choir. The film will be score-based, with only one source song in the feature, and Don is recollaborating with Juno Reactor for one cue in the film.

To date, The Matrix Reloaded has taken in over $275 million at the box office, and the soundtrack (featuring music from Don's score) has gone Gold, selling over 500,000 units.

Well! You guys must be OUT OF YOUR MIND!

R-E-A-L-L-Y-!

For the first time -ever- the right sort of music (hard/fast/trancemusic) was made as filmmusic for the best, hottest actionmovie/scene ever!

What are you talking about?? Didn't like it? Uh?

This type of music is exactly the right thing to this type of movies, something I've believed in for a very long time wondering why no one has done it before.

Awesome music, adrenalin pumping to this mindblasting actionmovie!

lol! I just love that track Mona Lisa Overdrive (chase scene)!! ... a great, powerful, energetic and never heard before(?) mix of synths, tribal beats and orchestra, methinks!

yeah I agree, it's right for MOVIES, but not home listening... well, it could be if you took away the orchestra from the climax moments

Personally I loved the Matrix Reloaded Movie, the Animatrix and both soundtracks. But I am one of those idiots that watched the original Matrix over 10x so go figure.
