technosomy Posted January 11, 2013 Share Posted January 11, 2013 sooooooooooooo psy freaks 2013 is there and we ain"t dead, in fact i more alive than ever. first up are we doing a 2012 best of? i thinkin it was 1997 all over again, so many awsome releases as far as psynews goes, i been loving the good vibes between so many here. but not all roses, plenty of afterschool fights behind the bike shed also. (and other weirdness involving leggings and boris blenn) few of the threads have been falling apart, and as usual we all go a bit quiet this time of year.lowin but the music! dat records going off! suntrip still blowing us away with pure genius and amazing albums space elves etnica live mindsphere ubar oood (which is amazing if you havn't heard it) so many more and thats just goa, all subs been popping up with gems new labels zion from japan you rock! chill, ra absolute genius, almost perfect for me you fins been a bit quiet for my liking, faggots due for a stomper just a few though as i could go on all day so many highs, so many lows biggest disappointment the ongoing saga with ap album, i just over it, but still want it to happen. come on raj! biggest hope, h3 of course, just like to say thanks to all for the great vibes and generosity from you all at psynews (especially my mate radi) you all a awsome bunch, and i honoured to have been able to share this amazing movement we all have look forward to many more laughs and good times for 2013 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I opened my mind and got converted - love the Mindsphere album and really dig the Crossing Mind. (also really like some pre-2012 albums but this is the 2012 thread). Ra - "Unearthly" is fantastic also. Other highlight - the progressive trance abums! The Atmos album "604" was a progressive highlight for me - very good release, nice diversity of styles, and the remixes are good too. Solar Fields - "Random Friday" - would have competed for my abum of the year with the Mindsphere album if not for the Beat Bizarre album. Love this album - Solar Fields is such a master, and this album is sublime. Album of the Year 2012 - Several lovely albums this year, but, hand's-down, my Album of the Year is Beat Bizarre - "Mukharv" "Mukharv" feels like a new concept in progressive psychedelic - sounds like nothing else out there. It is so well executed and even though it is way up on the psychedelia, the beats and rhythms are so fat and groovy that my friends who don't even like trance music thinks it's badass. So many strong releases both up- and down-tempo I just ordered another bulk from beatspace today mostly 2012 stuff, so still have some more good stuff to digest. the biggest surprises for me this year have been Innerspace and Phobos Azazel... Innerspace came out of nowhere and Phobos Azazel has in my ears only released pretty mediocre darpsy before this bomb of debute album Organistic.
