Thanks,

Some of us might like to know when a CD version comes out, I will.

...Or also when it is released at DVD-A format, working at 96Khz/24bits at surround 5.1, surely it will need a couple of years to be... although in the next couple of months; the new DVD/CD DJ player from Pio is coming out...

Ok, it will take some time till new other models make it easily accesible at low prices but in this new format, the sound will very much reveal the magic this music has. A jump comparable to the one from cassette to CD.

vile vinyl... I loved it.

And then I hated when at every listen it sounded worst... I remmember buying again the Lps of groups I liked much then...

when CD came out I realized that played music could have no cripping in it. loved its cleanness and 3D.

Then I was not so happy when early on, at a party I played with CDs, just after a vinyl Dj set, and the sound had not that bass, it sounded thinner...

And then amplification equipment got better and finally the bad and loud sound system didn´t masked anymore the real sound on the formats...and today if you get a good enough amplification system, you can easily compensate for the initial volume difference, then I started to hear differences.

So I've got a CD player with good DACs(digital to analog converters) and given volume compensation(the vinyl djs keep heavy weighting the needdles so they dont skip and sound fatter) I can really transmit the space, the S-P-A-C-E in the music, and me and the dancefloor get to fly on it.

Well we did it before also, people usually get accostumed to whatever have... but we're always striving for higher peaks.

And now most of the 99% OF THE ENTIRE RECORDED MUSIC ON THE WORLD is done digitally in the first generation at the studio; no tape on the process... so why add extra noise using a re-recording method that has to be entirely equalized(RIIA eq) otherwise wont be able to be recorded or played, a method in which ONE needle reads both sides of the stereo, at the SAME time... so it have something like 30dB of stereo separation(compared with the WIDE stereo and hence good sound positioning) that CD has at over 80dB of stereo separation between channel right and left?...

why vinyl bother then?...because some people like the integrity of the the middle frequencies sound on vinyl? well that could be true only on audiophile, very expensive turntables(never on SL1200) and only on the first 6 plays... the needle erases -wipes out- the finer jumps, that have the high freq info each time it passes over it...

And precisely because of that integrity is that the new(recent) DACs came out , the problem with the CDs was mainly with the filtering stage and not with the digital recording process... and to top that...in order to bring audio to a NEW very overt level of new quality it came the 96KHz/24bits digital format that when blind tested on over 300 people from recording studio work... over 99% prefered that sample to any other format including very thick original tapes...

And it comes to your house....and since a couple of years, musicians can record in this format too...

Side Benefits? we'll be able to slow down the sound of a bird or passing car or a simple flute and still(regardless the quality of the algoritms) the sound will be glorious...just imagine the new sounds to be created...

Plus it could have the music recorded in 5.1 separated tracks for sorround and effects... Entire sound atmosphers could be built into dancefloors or chillouts.

Man... this music is going to leave the rest as quite dull and lifeless...like when you now play a cassette compared with the CD.

Musicians...I hope they start recording in this format at least they should do it ALSO.

Because... for us Djs the tool is very close already.

.....or somebody comes along and; "I love the sound of vinyl..." and yes, of course, everyone may have preferences for whatever sound there is...

or likes the way the 12" is touched and such...ok.

Sure there will be '69 ford Mustang lovers even when something closer to the enterprise comes along...

I love variety in life¡¡¡¡

But I will pbbly prefer the ride on the spaceship and its versatility most times...as I dont listen much to cassettes now.

The alchemists are still juggling and getting better ...

Peace
