The Machinery of Nature The Terrafractyl virus is spreading across the globe, presenting music to listeners, that not only moves their feet, but also their mind. From bedroom to dance-floor, no one is safe. Prepare to flail your limbs like never before. This five track EP follows on from ‘Electronic Evolution’, pulling the listener into a journey through sound as Felix shares his ongoing quest for creating music that infects the inside of your mind. Many of the sounds are created with Terrafractyl’s own devices, his arsenal of sound sculpting machines ranging from software Reaktor ensembles to hand built analog modular synths, which makes for a truly unique sound. Drawing on philosophies and literature that have aided Terrafractyl in his own evolutions, he now presents them to us in a compendium of synthesized chaos to grace your ears - taking the listener beyond the electronic evolution. ‘A Speck of Dust’ comes out swinging, with the first two tracks focusing on the more full on style of psytrance. The third track of the EP is a collaboration with Marty Launchpad, bringing a fusion of funk into the mix with a well balanced chunky nature. The last two tracks of this release diversify into a slightly more psygressive style of trance, focusing more on tribalistic rhythms and grooves. The final track is almost a mixture of Terrafractyl and Hypnagog, and is not far from what you should expect from some of the upcoming Hypnagog album, ‘Thematic Mathematics’ coming soon on Kinematic Records.
