Guest Dr. Gonzo Posted October 23, 2003 Share Posted October 23, 2003 as we have seen the history of psytrance: history: goa vibe with a lot of 303 and oriental melodies, fast madness, multiple layers and communication in the music, not very accessible for every audience nowadays: power trance of these days, perfect sound (astrix, silicon sound, psydrop, ...), perfectly tuned hi tech soundshapes, not many layers , no madness, accessible for many people, chrome like sounds, smooth future: the complete symbiosis of the previous two into madness with perfect tuned sounds !!! artists, you guys did a great job fine tuniing the sounds, now, the technical part is over and maybe we are ready to go one step beyond: bring the madness back !!! , this "step aside" was necessery to tune & uplift the sound, now the future kind of music will be overwhelming !!!! melt the stuff together PLEASE, take some lsd instead of coke -looking for madness- Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You are talking about "history" and "nowdays" as they are black and white, but when you really take a harder look there've been many shades of gray all along. If you really want to explore those shades of gray, you usually have to search harder and be willing to risk/experiment with less known names. Just a drop in the ocean IMO. If you're looking for madness, it's very easy to find nowadays : just listen to some new artists from Scandinavia, South Africa, Eastern Europe or Australia.
