Drosophila
So they have just released a new album (https://soundcloud.com/minilogue/minilogue-blomma-new-album)... and it seems to sediment that they are truly some of the best to come from the psy scene into minimal/techno, while still remain faithful to their psychedelic feel and playfulness! Gotta love them! Or what do you guys think?! I just found this live-set http://we.tl/KevL7RH8Bu at their fb site https://www.facebook.com/minilogue after listen to them live at a release party for their new album this Wednesday/Thursday night. I have to get that album... those guys seem not to be able to fail! And further more I snooped up that Ooze (Sebastian of Minilogue) is releasing a new EP soon as well
Padmapani
Or what do you guys think?! i passionately hate minimal techno. what is this even doing in the psytrance section? but this is much better than the usual minimal. even a bit atmospheric and listenable for short periods of time. not the usual boring blip-fest. Richpa
Listening to atmospheric pagan black metal and Minilogue/Petar Dundov combo makes my life much easier and beautiful. Blooma is wonderful, just like Dundov's Ideas From The Pond album. Creative and intelligent techno ambient with great sense for stroytelling and exploration of minimalistic psychedelia on the more relaxed side of things with a pinch of trancey vibes and atmosphere. If you ask me, yes, it's more psychedelic than 95% of 'psychedelic music' that has been released, reviewed and presented here in last couple of years. franki
Loving Blomma too! (And Animals was a masterpiece.)
Manuser
as i said in the review section this is minimal techno, which is arguably a bit psychedelic? so yes don't expect trance here. anyway for people who are into techno, this is VERY beautiful, progressive techno. CD2 is not really my thing (ambient), but CD1 is just really nice !
Richpa
Lovely album. Recommended if you like heavenly minimal techno and ambient. For you who don't know, Minilogue is the Swedish duo Son Kite's alternative project. Don't forget Sebastian's project Kooler
Richpa
@Richpa: Sweet! How did I miss this album. Checking it out ASAP. You should man, especially if you like Colours. Open is probably in my top 10 progressive trance albums all-time list
