Guest D N H
I believe that Hitler's use for parody videos becomes exceeding and kitsch in many cases.
needle ninja
Why!
Guest D N H
Why! You mean why? Firstly, because it is about a controversial historical and political figure, especially from a critical and destructive period in man's history, in which period we're still living with all its arguments. Of course the same goes for any other figures of this categorization. Secondly, because in its overuse it becomes flashy and frivolous, which makes it kitsch, its original rambling becomes more obvious. Thirdly and unambiguously, because it is very boring to see it repeated again and again. Ok, don't get it wrong, Ormion's videos were really smart, sharp & very satiric, it's just as an origin that lies a bit on the edge.
Padmapani
i always take comfort in the thought, that, if the little psychopath could see people are doing with him in the videos, he would hate being ridiculed like that so much more than being hated or feared. maybe it's a deterrent for future wannabe dictators to know that they would inevitably end up being remembered (among other things) as a fidgeting puppet shouting nonsense along to some silly edm beat. Guest D N H
It can happen to anyone, not only to a political figure. Because it's more like mass/plastic fun parody today. On the other hand, the thing is that when satire or comedy has some political reference, more or less you might get into an irrelevant controversy. Lemmiwinks
hmm I tend to agree that that clip from the movie Downfall has been WAY too abused... it seems that you could put just about any subtitles to it and make it look funny.. it was good at first but when you get dozens of videos using it, it becomes boring... Ormion
I'm a huge fan of Downfall's parodies. There are many communities dedicated to these parodies. Some of my favourites:

Lemmiwinks
ok, back in the days when those Downfall clips were cool (and dubstep was also cool for that matter), this one had me laughing a lot: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Odh0k0ky3RE ... and the follow-up http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=20pgeYcxeCE
