As a child I had a lot ot OCD problems. I never went to a doctor for it, but now I know that were some heavy OCD stuff. One day I said to myself enough, fought it and I'm ok now.

As a child, I could walk on the ceiling...Joke aside, yes, this OCD stuff is a pain. As for me, I always count stuff such as the number of tiles on the floor, the symetry of things on the walls, adding and multiplying things at home such as squares drawn on objects... I also have cognitive and memory impairment.

No but possibly the tiniest bit of HPPD.. Sometimes if I look at a wooden table for example or a wall or something it will seem to slightly morph or move in the same way it has when tripping.

This is pretty rare though and I don't think it's classed as HPPD unless it affects your life, which it doesn't as i actually really enjoy it when it happens, heh :)

No surprise you like fractals for being affected by the Asperger syndrome. This is a very interesting topic, as you said, it enhances your mind to some extend, but with the social downsides. If I may ask, what kind of job do you do with AS? Something related to maths, technology, engineering, R&D?

Well, totally not, I'm a teacher... :P But my hobbies are connected to maths etc... ;) And people think Asperger people can't function well socially... They CAN, they are not authistic in sé, they just "learn" to copy appropiate social behaviour... And I learned how to do that in front of a class... but for instance, I will never become angry in front of a class, or help a pupil who is crying because of some drama etc... And I feel uneasy in "new" social situations and big groups... I prefer 1 on 1 talks 100% more... So thats why I go to goa parties to dance, not to socialise... And this asperger-side of me is probably the reason why I am still old school goa freak after 15 years... I dislike changes with a passion :)

So well, don't worry, if you see me I will act normal, as said, it's not typical autistic behaviour :) I can talk, laugh etc, I just have some weird sides, you'll only notice if you know me well :)

I am not hyperactive at all. Quite the contrary, I walk slowly and like doing so, for instance. But I do have some degree of attention deficit. I sometimes don't remember what a person who is talking to me said when we started talking three minutes earlier, can't remember some faces, facts, dates, talks. Sometimes people say I did something, say, five years ago and my memory says that I did something quite different, but I know they're right. And I daydream a lot. I have been said to be absent minded, I agree -_- . It makes life easer, I think.

Anxiety but now only in case that i am drunk or stoned. 4 years ago i overdosed with weed so much and it fucked my brain, i was in some trip for 2 days which i consider is impossible for weed or for any drug lol. It was pure horror show and next few months i had anxiety every day, after the sundown. I was underage in that time so i couldn't go to doctor and see what is going one because if i tell him truth he must contact police and my parents... not possible. Luckely it's gone and i am normal now.

I haven't been drunk for 4 years now, from that day and havent smoked for 1 year so i am fine. People are escaping from sober life but i love it lol

Worst thing is not single case, much my friends had same problem and people around the world told me the same. I often advice people to take care and tell them my story... i don't wish that to anyone, it's really shity!

Now that comes as a surprise! I didn't notice anything unusual about you at all when we met in London for the Twisted Party some years ago. Your description about acting normal surely fits then. May I ask when and how your Asperger Syndrom was discovered? I have to say I can somewhat relate to some stuff you describe (Feeling uneasy in new social situations and the likes). I always rated that as just being shy (with me but also with other People)...

Interesting sotries by you people. I have big problems to stay in cold and northern areas with less sun activity, weak sunshine and low sky, like it is in northern countries. I prefer staying in warmer countreis and if the atmosphere is bigger and has warmer colour, the sky, the vegetation I feel much more alive and better than in colder areas. I don't know hwo that is called. I suffer from depression a lot and have big problems with lots and lots of people in small areas.

Like Goa Travellers I have to count the symethrical forms everywhere I am, it happenes automatically and everywhere I am for longer, but I like that.

I actually grew up with what my doctor(s) called "Aspergers" (a ridiculous mental syndrome that doesnt exist anymore) but they were all morons. I definitely had a bit of ADHD mixed with some depression, but I have stopped putting a label on myself and just live with who I am. I stopped taking medication two years ago, and after a process, I feel fine. The medical department really screws up peoples lives... sometimes I think they do more than they SAVE lives. Being a pharmacist is mostly a joke now a days. I tried suicide because, hormones I guess. All in all, I found my passions and grew up. I just had to learn to love myself, yah know?

I definitely have a phobia of needles. I tell myself that I don't but the last few times I have gotten shots I have fainted immediately after injection. Other than that I have had periods of depression along with what might have been multiple serious anxiety/mental breakdowns while I was in college purely because of stress. I remember writing a page worth of complete non-sequiturs that didn't make any sense one night as they were just pouring out of my mind. Thankfully I am over all of that now that I have graduated and I have time devoted to self expression.

I've found medications very helpful.

Of course, medications can be good. Medications were very helpful for me, at least once. The others I took as a child gave me Tourette syndrome for three years, hallucinations, and a lot of dizziness / lack of hunger. It was at 12 when I finally was given Straterra, the sixth medication I tried. This helped me develop my focus for a number of years until I decided it was ready to stop in 2011. Everyone has different medication experience, but all 10+ doctors I saw bashed me around like a science rat. Still, medication isnt always a bad thing. I am positive it helps many people, and it did for me in the end.
