Shpongled247
Sooo since moving to London I have literally had a cold or something about once a month.. Never been so sick in my life. Usually it doesn't last but it's just shit getting better then getting sick again a weekend later.. No doubt my lifestyle and large wkends play a part but I think half of it is being in a new country and getting new germs on the tube everyday? So do you guys get sick as much as me? Any secret remedies/recipes to share?
Veracohr
No, sorry, I hardly ever get sick. I get a mild cold about once every year or two.
Rotwang
I often get the early symptoms of a cold but it's rare that it goes full-blown. I expect I'd get properly ill more often if I had to go to the centre of London every day, though.
johnb820
Going some place new will almost always result in getting sick. You do not have the immunity that the local people have built up over the years. The same thing happens to me when I go out of town.
technosomy
i find sickeness is a state of mind i havn't been sick for years but funny enough have been going through a real tough time lately with death in the family, relationship break up, new job all sorts of stuff.......... just got out of hospital now! been in there for 5 days unexplained, saw every doctor and specialist, but if you want to build up your immunity this is what i have been taking for years everyday for breakfast olive leaf - great for the immune system 5 mushroom extract magnesium ascorbate - vit c and magnesium (the forgotten mineral extinct from the soil in almost all countries now a good intestinal flora ( don't go cheap if you can afford it ) vital greens http://www.vitalgreens.com/docs/vital_greens_ingredients.pdf (essential, been taking for years) hemp seed oil great combiation works great for me, but find what works for you my condition, not immune related, but things can hit you hard when you least expect it. am sure fabien will agree
needle ninja
i find sickeness is a state of mind Indeed, just block it out. Just block it out. Hummmmmmmmmmmmmh
Tatsu
Indeed, just block it out. Just block it out. Hummmmmmmmmmmmmh That's of course an exageration but it's not rare that you get ill after a period of stress. Because of that lots of people start their holiays and fell bad while they never get ill during work time. Mainly because you can't afford to be ill.... Also other issues can make you ill. A week or two after my mum died I got hit by a fever flash that gave me a body temperature of 41 degress and was still rising. Funny enough after a night with Aspirin and vinegar packings I felt perfectly healthy again and the fever was gone.

Padmapani
i always get colds or some other sickness, when i have a lot of stress for extended periods of time. so i'm not surprised it struck me yesterday. anyone got any idea how to get a stuck up eustachi tube open again? the fucked up hearing and the accompanying symptoms are driving me nuts. Shpongled247
Haha I wish it was all in the mind. But when you literally feel run over by a truck and spewing mucus from every pore mind over matter doesn't help lol... Luckily, one good thing is the uk doesn't have retarded pseudoephedrine laws so I can actually get cold tablets that help! I do agree about stress though. Perhaps stress in all forms though eg partying stress on the body/mind leads to a weaker immune system.. Anyway... Cold and flu tablet addict for now ::
Shpongled247
Sorry just saw your reply and yes I actually do! Go into the shower/bathroom with it on as hot as you can, block one ear and blow really hard through your nose. I think that is what saved me once and I tried everything! Combo of steam plus that = cured
