GagaISM
You should all read Simon Reynold's book "Energy Flash". It's about the history and evolution of electronic dance music and the major role drugs have played.
MakkaPakka604
lol really? You need to read a book to know that? I remeber acid house in the late 80's and the amount of stuff going down my gullet was insane by anyone's standards! The worst was when you woke up sore next to some bloke only to realize that you'd done under the influence what no straight man shoulda done but seeing as most the good stuff was played at exclusive gay venues back then it was a risk lol. What I was saying was to make music based for a single drug & the expected fx of said drug is very very silly. One persons experience is never the same as another persons. I've taken about everything there's been legal or not, and I'd never do something expecting the same outcome or experience. That's very limiting and will earn you a bad burn out eventually. For example I did some naturally stuff while listening to a bunch of Infect Insect tunes & had the most enlightening experience ever whereas my mate who was doing the same had a nightmare of a journey & wasn't quite the same for a year or two. It's all about you & you're perspective, nothing to do with trying to make others experience it.

franki
oh yeah, this one always brings a smile on my face like "who in his right ming would think of chanting a mantra on this music???" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZiBbEVERXV8 I absolutley love that track!!! (& the Demoniac Insomniac one that follows it on the album.) The thundering kick drums are immense! That's how Darkpsy should be done in my opinion! ivanz
I too like DarkPsy, but only the atmospheric type with deep bass and without hi-techy effects and In this context I am surprised no one has mentioned this guy https://soundcloud.com/paranoiac (Paranoiac) yet

It's daaaark.

As for darkpsy, I'm really enjoying Xenomorph and the dark side of forest at the moment, but I can't really bear to listen to most darkpsy for more than a few minutes. I find it too aggressive and uncompromising, and ultimately bland. I'm always open to new recommendations though, and I did quite enjoy a couple of Kemic-Al songs.
