Jim Appleton
Greetings to all. I've just uploaded a new mix onto soundcloud, 'Psychedelic Relic'. This was originally mixed in 1998 from vinyl, and recorded onto cassette tape (feeling slightly old now), so I've remixed it as close to the original as possible so as to preserve it ( the tape has degraded in quality ). It's all 'retro' Goa trance https://soundcloud.com/jimappleton/jim-appleton-psychedelic-relic Hope you enjoy listening. Best wishes Tracklist: 01. Subcouds - Space Angel (Psychic Deli - PSI 012) 02. Nervasystem - Terraform (Psychic Deli -PDCD04) 03. Mindfield - Carnival On Mars (Phantasm Records - PTMCD135) 04. Sibilant - Screecher Creature (Input Records - 02INPUTCD) 05. Jim Appleton
Cheers guys. A real step back in time with this one, again....and strangely pleasing to play the same tracks in that order, like the years haven't passed.. This was meticulously arranged for the original recording. Mix points had to be done by ear rather than making a note of the time given on CD players (which is amazingly helpful now) My vision was to build the mix, keep it psychedelic, but accessible to many. By that I mean, not too floaty, not too hard. Keeping it danceable is always my goal Thanks for the comments and interest ! Best wishes
