GagaISM
Listening to K.U.R.O.'s Satisfaction has cursed me with a hunger for more. I know "Tech-Trance" is more of a "spectrum" than an actual genre, but that's exactly why I thought it would be a great idea to ask and bunch of connoisseurs like you guys. So here we go: what is generally considered the absolute essentials of the genre?

ollylovesgoa
I need to give more time to The Delta, always found it far darker than the other German stuff. Is their second album any good? I forgot: M.O.S - Bug
GagaISM
I need to revisit Planet BEN's Silver. Sadly not much into most of the other stuff mentioned. The Delta included.
Manuser
I remember Midi Miliz Passages being very good! The Yumade album, not sure u'll like it the style is very hard to get into
GagaISM
Yeah, Yumade, Paps and the Databass crew sadly lost their edge rather quickly...
MakkaPakka604
The 9 Pills compilation for me has always been the mos underrated tech-trance compilation in the genre. It has some absolutely amazing tacks, and a lot of them to me have a real nice atmospheric psychedelic edge. The Joti Sidhu track for me is amazing http://www.discogs.com/Various-9-Pills/release/150917

Procyon
All above, plus two of my favorites: Eargear (specially Pegelreiter) and a masterpiece: Platform - Hypnoplant Edit: as you mentioned KURO in your post, I shamelessly promote a mix I made of his tracks, as KURO and CHARM, a tech-trance side project of KURO and JIN. Hope you like it, despite my lack of perfect transitions (which I don't care much): https://soundcloud.com/djprocyon/a-tribute-to-kuro-king-of
Mergi
I liked the Solstice Black compilations. Also got an interesting compilation from soundmute called Reconstruction, the Le S4b0t3ur track on that CD is intense.

I feel like i've been looking for it since I first heard Spirallianz. Do you know anything else as heavy and techy as this?

Ahh this is so often the case when we get down to such specific and obscure genres as PsyTechTrance; you find that perfect sound, and crave more, but we have to make do with these few and far between hidden gems! Ormion
Toi Doi's third album is pure techtrance. Not my style, but check it out.

ollylovesgoa
Anyone who remembers Nuclear Ramjet? I've got their 1998 album, wouldn't quite call it pure TechTrance though, there's some minimalism in its stripped down rythmic sections that is, but also some very melodic peaks (still excellent though). Fave track off of Age of Aquarius would be: Very melodic. Is their later stuff TechTrance? Any good? i dont listen to it very often but when i do its X-Dream - Thorazin (masterpiece) Planet BEN - Schleiffer (also awesomeness) Agreed, excellent excellent tracks. Thorazin on full volume is some full power bom shankar shit.
lumpi
I wonder why no one has mentioned "The Delta - Minusman" yet. I think it's as good as "Send in... send back" http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/won/won1cd003.html The Horns and Hoofs compilation "Eleventure" also used to be one of my favourites when it comes to banging techtrance. http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/hah/hah1cd002.html
