Lemmiwinks
hi there! I've always had a soft spot for photography but never quite got past amateur level. Now, some events this year made me want to take my skills to the next level, and I'm realizing that there is a LOT to learn! So I was wondering, what sites would you recommend for some good photograpy tips and tutorials?
Rotwang
I'm not a good photographer by any means, but here's a useful tip I discovered that not many people seem to be aware of: when taking a photo of something still with a longish exposure (which will happen automatically when you use a digital camera in low light, for example), turn on the timer. It usually makes the photo come out less blurry. The reason for this is that you jog the camera by pressing the button, so it's more likely to be still if the photo is taken a few seconds later. needle ninja
http://www.dpreview.com/ Check out the forums section for discussions on every aspect of photography. It is also a good site for news...
