Trunksan
Astral played last night in Athens, it was a FANTASTIC party, their 4 last tracks were people can fly, kabalah and mahadeva + one that I don't remember, after mahadeva I collapsed exhausted. Although they are not one of my top preferences, they are true masters in creating mayhem, the whole club went crazy, they definetly lived up to their reputation. I had heard them live once more before in a big festival but this time it was out of this world... a certain psychoactive substance also played its role, but it definetly wasn't because of that, the other acts paled in comparison to them, especially if you consider the fact that one was Liquid Soul. He played a remix of Land of Freedom (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gXVm54GACGE) but even with this legendary track his set was just very inconsistent and to me, dull. https://www.facebook.com/events/334211823380532/?viewer_id=100001702662844
ion1zed
No surprise. They have so many killer tracks at their disposal...they burn every dancefloor as long as the crowd is not totally lame. glad you had a nice party!

They have so many killer tracks at their disposal...they burn every dancefloor as long as the crowd is not totally lame. glad you had a nice party! they only do, if they indeed take out their killer tracks instead of playing their crappy new stuff plus some pathetic, watered down fullon remixes of their classics. i have heard them twice, the first time was completely out of this world, the second time was utter crap. radi6404
Some new stuff is good in my opinion, One and Back from hell are more than listenable in my opinion.
aliendna99
back from hell has really great moments, i was extremely pleased when i first heard it, and thought "oh man their next album is gonna be great" damn you astral, ive been waiting since 2005! and I dont count Ten

deus_
Did you hear any new track you can remember? I was there too! From their new tracks they played '1200 micrograms- Shiva's India (Astral Projection rmx), Blue Planet Corporation - Over Bloody Flood (Astral Projection Remix), Blue Planet Corporation - Midian (Astral Projection Remix), The Infinity Project - Feeling Very Weird (Astral Projection Remix), Astral Projection- One. This is what i remember! The track that opened their live was a generic progressive one, i was not so impressed! Personally their new remixes didn't touch me. On 'Shiva's India' the result was great, i can say it's much much better than the original but for the rest....hmm. But we are talking about classics and i realise how hard is to remix them after so many years and achieve something great! That's again my personal opinion! About their old tracks, Trunksan said it all! Avi and Lior were friendly with the crowd and many people took pictures with them! As for 'Liquid Soul'.... I thought i was listening to this track for 90 minutes.

Trunksan
Did you hear any new track you can remember? Sorry I'm not familiar with their new tracks. The only other tracks I recognised were Let There Be light, Free Tibet and Overbody flood (although I hadn't heard the remix before) and I think Utopia. radi6404
I really think Astral Projection should be given a chance, the new tracks don`t seem so bad, Back from hell, Stimuli remix, Feeling very Weird Remix, they sounded good in my opinion. aliendna99
they get more than a chance from me anyway, i will be drooling over their new album whenever they choose to release it. they have yet to release a bad album (i dont count Ten which is a VA) so i dont think they will release a bad one either. Sure "Astral Files" is not the best album but still has some good stuff in it.

If you compare them to some other legendary acts, A.P. are still alive and kickin'! But i would like to hear some totally new tracks from them and not so many remixes of classic tunes! 'One' was pretty good track imo!

radi6404
I fully agree and I am wondering why they are doing that. Why so many remixes, people don`t want that, people want to hear new stuff, did they loose their inspiration or what? Back from hell by the way is as good in my opinion as any old Astral Projection classic. The modern science fiction sounds it contains don`t appear in any other track I have listened to. Wondering if there are any scifi sounding tracks in the psychedelic scene at all.

I actually thought it was very good and the soufis that were projected on the screens really fitted the Middle Eastern melodies..... Radi, we need you expertise, what's this track? I think it was the second! They were on stage but they weren't playing, the track before was just something playing while the crew rearranged the monitor speakers and the desk. it also makes sense since you said it was a generic track. Sorry I'll write something in Greek: Ti mounara itan auti I tsekadorisa me to mauro rantaki k ta maura mallia, efaga htta o trypios, san pornostar tin evlepa. Thanks for clarifying this because i thought Astral Projection took the wrong path with their new music! As for the Greek part, I agree!
