Is techno (Jeff Mills, Villalobos, Carola...) uderground?

I find this kind of music too much simple with a very poor structure

underground is not monononous music with a giant loop but complex music

There's no such thing as stupid question.

 

Any kind of music electronic or acoustic can be underground.

Some of Techno is underground, and some is not, just like Trance, Rock, Classical, Hip Hop, Jazz etc..I don't think complexity has anything to do with it.

nopes... it might be underground but certainly not uderground ;-)

 

 

but seriously, underground basically means that it's not commercial... so in practice, you could separate all sorts of music into commercial and underground, even pop music!! Of course it has been used as a flash-word in the electronic music scene, so it has greatley lost it's initial sense. But still, that doesn't mean that techno can't be underground :-)
