Guest Woggleh
after waking up from i think one of the worst trance nights i've ever had, all i can feel is upset that israelis control the NY scene. never can i hear interesting psy. but blande israeli monotonous basslines with no melodies and bad synth lines. as well as WHY must AP be so horrible ?! they haven't grown up it seems. still lost in 7 years ago!:-| that's not even the worst of it. I expected a little more than a CD playing last night. AT least a dat...the cd skipped about 3 times. one time it skipped and went off for about 5-10 seconds. was horrible. and they were trying to play an sh101 completely off key and not syncing rhythmically, basically like a little kid banging away at a synth not knowing what the fuck they were doing. stuff like this upsets me... I don't expect a truely live set from trance producers, but i expect variation on their original tracks. infected does this nicely. i like the tracks they make for live but AP it's just like listening to the cd..."oh wow i just spent my money on this" blah:) i'm just sick of new york! never any good psy. just stupid fucking israeli trance. i might just be upset cuz i was pretty sick last night as well...just coming off the flu:o
Hels
You shouldn't worry about it so much... At least you HAVE a psy scene...many of us in the states don't (I do though, muahah!)
Guest .::E.P
the reason why you only get the Isralie Full On supermerket music in New York is because most organisers are from Israel... sad though that the people in New York dont get to hear some other music... But hey it' what goes around these days.... Full On.... Isralie..... Full on...... boring!
Guest krize
you think Astral Orjection is Full On ??? And why the disrespect calling it supermarket music ????
Guest TjT
When will people stop going to Tsunami events? The guy has been trying to commercialise psy-trance in the US for a few years now and the result is always bad.
Lemmiwinks
"they haven't grown up it seems. still lost in 7 years ago!:-| " haha if only that were the case... Listen to their latest album again, they're LIGHT YEARS away from what they made in 96!! Light years in the bad direction that is... It seems to me that everybody making trance in israel right now is trying to be the next Tiesto... WHY???? It's like Dali making hard efforts to be the next Andy Warhol... nuff said :-) SMI²LE

Guest Duodenum
i feel your pain... when Tsunami returned, i hoped that they would book lesser-known, rising artists. but instead, they have been getting the same "big" names. i hope they'll bring Infected back, since they're one of the only big name acts i still want to see. aside from the Tsunami parties, we also have the occasional Phantasm event. they seem decent, but again, they don't showcase any surprising music. the other part of the NYC scene is progressive stuff like Son Kite. i like this music also, but it's hardly psychedelic. where has the original psy music gone in NYC??
