Let's hear some love for Cydonia

Cydonia is one of those group that somehow don't get mentioned enough despite the fact that they are one of the legendary dark goa groups.

 

They have such a badass sound. My favourite track however is by a side project of them.

Well, unlike many other users I will answer what I think about Cydonia. Cydonia is a great artist that produced really to the point dark goa music. The incredible and probably most fammous track Animate is really good and incredible. It is emotional and relaxing for me, it is great for background listening. Your posted track is also nice. Indeed, Cydonia is awesome ! And just like Paradox i also prefer the original version of mind hunter (though the other one i also one of my favourites)

yes Yes YES! CYDONIA! I didnt know that Viper was an alias. I totally hear it now. that track was on my mind recently and now I remember it was the one I forgot to dig the cd out for something I did ;p

 

Cydonia's style of goa is my favorite tied with what the Green Nuns did. The raw sound behind Cydonia and how the tracks growl at you. the layers inter-playing with one another. Mind Hunter above is a good example. Columbian Necktie is the perfect example of what I love to hear. Animal People as well is pretty good. for me, my favorite song is 'Haunted World' - sucks my brain into it ;O

I remember seeing hem dj live in Antwerp at a ruine that is now La Riva .... somewhere end of the 90's / beginning 00's ....not sure but the set and setting were cool ....first time I heard "Thing" from The Delta (full version)
