ptn
Recently I've noticed the forum has skipped 1.000.000 mark with the posts. Quick question to the CEOs - is it possible to trace the lucky one?

Rotwang
We did discuss the possibility of finding the millionth post, but it would have been difficult.
Rotwang
We did discuss the possibility of finding the millionth post, but it would have been difficult. Except that was before I had cause to learn SQL as part of my new job. Having done so I can now reveal the following: The 1000000th post on Psynews was this one. I've bought from said shop before. They are selling it early as a marketing campaign to cash in. They don't care about cheap psy hippies any more, they have the hipster American cash crowd behind them now. Digital before physical is a regular feature of Bandcamp. There's actually nothing surprising it at all. It's simple marketing & profiteering. If you don't like what they're doin noone's forcing you with a gun to your head to support it. So I can either buy & shut up or not buy & only then I'm allowed to criticize? Good luck with that kind of attitude in your grown up life (work, raising children, etc). Congratulations, antic! A member who joined in 2000 arguing with a Mike D sock puppet. I genuinely don't think I could have chosen a better post to sum up a million posts' worth of Psynews history. Incidentally, while browsing the database I also discovered that we have exactly 604 ban filters.
