Sync wave form?

Hello,

 

Ever heard of the sync wave form? The Cheetah MS6 has it among its patches...(Listen to patches Sync 71 and Sync 73). Do you have information on this type of sound, how it looks like as a waveform and how it's made? Thanks,

A sync sound is where one oscillator's waveshape generation is reset by another oscillator; that is, 'synchronized' with the second oscillator. So the frequency of the resulting sound is determined by the master oscillator, but the tonal character is determined by the slave oscillator. Here's a good in-depth explanation:
