Blowfish is a new psychedelic trance/ ambient partnership between Graham Wood and Tony Stapleton. In the early nineties Graham was ½ of The Infinity Project, together with Raja Ram. Through their music and legendary parties they established themselves as a major pioneering force and influence on the psychedelic trance scene. Graham also recorded solo work under the guise Excess Head. Tony and Graham met in Goa around this same period, Tony was part of the underground acid label Acid Love. A million experiences later they started collaborating, working out of The Siren Testing House Studio, situated next to the Thames River, in East London. Early in the year 2003 they started to work on their first full length album, the mark of their return to the global trance scene. The debut entitled Puffed Up brings the feeling of the classic psychedelic trance alive in the year 2003. Using warm, fat analogue equipment together with the modern digital gear they come up with a mixture of sound that is both retro and fresh. The album is bursting with creative energy. Blowfish shows that they are not limited to producing only 4/4 dancefloor burners, although there is plenty for those to choose from on the album. Puffed Up covers a wide range of styles from peak time party monsters to a slower, housey approach, nu- school breaks, downtempo and ambient, always keeping the touch well psychedelic and twisted. The energy and feeling of the album proves with no doubt, that the talent that created the T.I.P classics is still as strong as ever. That talent is ready to bring smiles to many faces again.

Oh my god!! Got it today! FANTASTIC!!! Reminds me of the opening of Samothraki Dance Festival this year, when Graham was first on stage. He played several of these tracks in his set... All the good sounds in this one reminds me absolutely of The Infinity Project. I will write a review of it soon at:
