Lemmiwinks
So this morning I take out my fave CD of the moment, Scatterbrain - Infernal Angel and halfway through I realised that my heart wasn't pumping as fast when I heard those acid riffs, my smile dissapeared, I was more concentrated on the housework I was doing than on the tracks... yes, I got tired of another brilliant psy album again... damn this just sucks!!! What is it about something new that hits us and then just becomes boring after a lot of listens? SMI²LE
shpongled
I think you need to take a brick from trance. Anything becomes boring if you listen to it a lot. Try to find some new music from other genres than trance.
Guest Alek
Or just take a break np: Cydonia - Columbian Necktie Woah!
Quark
Beside psy, I switch between danish music, such as Kim Larsen and D:A:D, and R:E:M.. But I listen primary to psy.

Guest Ale
Penta petafiles: when i heard first i was amazed, today i'm tired.
Guest gallowglass
amen to that. i was blown away by pentafiles (especially 'neurotic call'). but now i think its too monotonous and he doesnt use enough variety of sounds.
Guest cubensis
ditto on pentafiles. Loved it on first listen. On all subsequent listens, I don't know what the fuck I saw. Sooo repetitive! As a general rule, I find anything that I really like on first listen ends up being crap. Every album that became a classic for me, I initially had either a lukewarm response, or I hated it. But then they slowly grew on me. Subtelty and depth are required for staying power.

Guest GORE
Hello everybody. You are missing one thing. Trance music is the electronic music. Electronic music is getting older much faster than live music. Technologies are developing, you yourself also not standing on the same place. Music is the book u read, but it depends upon your brains how to understand all what is writen in this book. It is much interesting if u are into different music geners. U have a just boarder view on music. Another solution is that u can begin making music yourself, which will develop with you simulteniusly. Guest Towelie
how can music get old ??? you can get bored for it but it cant get old
Guest Rubber Legs
Yes good music never gets old or anything like that. It's just that songs that are made to be hits can't be that complex and diverse, they must be like McDolnald meal. Tasty and delicious, fast to eat and digest, but contains no valuable nutrition things like vitamins or so. Finish your meal, get out, fart, and be hungry again. Go in again and eat another variable of the meal that tastes the same anyway, and that's why it is easy to eat, cause it's familiar. Its just natural to get bored to it, it's growing up. On the other hand the songs that seem boring without being simple are ones that are too complex or different to understand, so they need to be eaten and digested slowly to get them. And because they are different from what one is used to they are likely to open new passages in mind. Sorry for bad english and general wirdness. U understand what I mean. It is self clear. So I'm just whapping. Damn I'm stupid. Hic
Guest Gore
Come on people how often it happens to u when u have some realy amazing idea or thought and after u begin to follow and implement this idea in ur own life, but some time passes u realize that now it is not as it was - it is in the past now and u don't want to come back into it now and u would never follow it again as it is in the past - u are different now. The same is with music - it is getting older as peoples' bodies, minds, ideas, thoughts, and everything that ever been squeezed out of human mind. Guest Blind Mind
No Rubber Legs, of course you are not stupid. On the contrary, in my humble opinion that's a quite interesting example, full of wisdom, with which I agree 100%. Not that I hate ppl that eat Mcdonalds, attention, once in a while I also eat one. And Gore, that kind of situation happens to me a lot, but past is past and we are different now. Everything that ever been squeezed out of human mind (mine, yours, everyone) probably is getting older as you said, but not music. After being made, music is what REALLY is & don't cheat anybody, in fact.
Guest Blind Mind
BTW, 2 famous quotes about music that fits this topic, certainly: Do I listen to pop music because I'm miserable or am I miserable because listen to pop music? --John Cusack (Rob Gordon) High Fidelity I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down' --Bob Newhart Funny.
