radi6404
In this topic I want to discuss all the goa tracks from Hallucinogen that really sound like goa trance. Most of his faster tracks are goa trance but differ from the main goa style as they are more twisted and random. I like those tracks a lot and hallucinogen is one of my favourite aliases of Simon Posford, but some of his tracks are geniune goa tracks, and they are very good. This shows that Simon Posford was able to produce real goa trance songs without the twist and yet they sounded impressive. Shame he did not produce more of those tracks, but not many Hallucinogen tracks have been released anyway. The tracks from hallucinogen with geniune goa sound are: Synthessizzler this is such an impressive track, it is very dark and mystic in sound, yet more melodious than many other hallucinogen tracks. The melodies used in this track are not typical for Simon Posford, but geniune Goa Trance melodies like they were used in many other tracks from 1995 til 2000. The old sound and touch of synthessizzler with the kickdrum, the vocoded vocals and the flanger in some of the sounds are just awesome. The sound of this track si complete and colourful, it reminds me of warm landscapes and old buildings. The main lead of this track is similar to the lead of Life on Mars. With all the elements of this track, I think this track shows that Simon Posford was able to produce impressive geniunge goa tracks aswell. This one is a true masterpeace. Thugs in Tye-Dye Thungs in Tie-Dye is not as dark and rough as Synthessizzler but also a very popular track. It uses similar synths as Syntzessizzler and has great emotional melodies. Emotional to my terms, other users may use different terms to describe the melodies. The kickdrum of this track and the bassline are similar to Space Pussy, but the style is a bit darker and less euphoric. Thugs in Tye-Dye is another great example of Simon Posford being able to produce genune goa trance songs. It is more popular than Syntzessizzler, altough I think Synthessizzler is better. LSD The most obvious example of Simon Posford being able to produce geniune goa trance is with no doubt LSD. The impressive melodies and bright sound of LSD are exemplary for the genre Goa Trance. The track is very psychedelic and complete in sound. Every tone fits together very well, the bassline, the main melodylead, the typical hallucinogen background lead, everything. Unfortunately Simon Posford did not produce many other tracks like LSD, but Synthessizzler, Thugs in Tie-Dye and probably Space Pussy are such tracks. What do you people think about the tracks and does someone think that other tracks by Simon Posford are more geniune than his usual style aswell? I would be pleased to discuss this subject, because it is a big excitement for me to talk about the classical goa trance artists.
