Rotwang Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 As some of you may have noticed, the forum settings have been changed and avatars are no longer cropped to 100x100 pixels. Instead they are scaled to a maximum width of 150 pixels, with no height restriction (though obviously the mods will intervene if a member abuses this freedom with an overly-tall avatar). It's also once again possible to have an animated gif as an avatar, though the maximum filesize seems to be a paltry 100kB. If I can figure out how to set it to something bigger I'll let you know. exotic Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Please set it to something bigger. Otherwise i will persist with this alienish evil dark psy avatar. Quote
Rotwang Posted June 22, 2014 Author Posted June 22, 2014 Please set it to something bigger. I did initially, but it looked bad in the Deviant theme. Otherwise i will persist with this alienish evil dark psy avatar. Fine by me. Quote

astralprojection Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 hey! i just had an animated little dancing alien, but when i switched to another gif, it is still showing a static image. the link to the gif works, as you see here.. anyone know whats wrong? yes i made it myself.. at least its a collage made by me.. representing anonymous, alien brain, psyechedlic headphones which of course means psychedelic music is what this alien (me) is listening to. If i have to decide, I reckon he is listening to Time Dilation. Quote
Rotwang Posted September 13, 2015 Author Posted September 13, 2015 I think animated gif avatars have a maximum filesize of 100kB. Quote
