My opinion :

 

_the intro and the bassline are too sharp, too agressive.

_the sound is saturated.

_the song is too repetitive. It lacks side-motives and developpement.

_where are the vocals from the original ? I love the vocals ("This is... the first day... of... the rest of your life...") <- cheesy but awesome.

 

It could be interesting with more work.

 

This can't be the definitive version.

 

But yes, it's cool to propose a new version of this song.

I think there a lot of problem areas in the track. What daw u using. Maybe throw out the project file and I could return it to show how to clean it up.

One of my favorite tracks from MWNN .... but your mix need a LOT of work mate...

 

Also im think MArtin Freeland (MWNN) have stop produce music some years ago I haven't lisent new works or visiting my country for party's as usual

i can barely hear the kick you need to turn up the volume man. also the main melody sound too clean, it could use some heavy distortion and bitcrushing.
