Manuser
Hi. I never got into downtempo stuff much but it grew on me lately, I heard so many good words about Ultimae and I'd like to give it a try, finally: Could you list the 3 most essential releases? JISNEGRO
mm tough question, I will, instead, answer about the top 3 artists: CBL, Solar Fields and Aes Dana
Balance
Well I'd go digital for one thing as you get both the mixed versions and unmixed tracks for a great price via their bandcamp. Artist albums? Asura - any, Cell & CBL are IMO the best. Personally I love their compilations and would suggest Ambrosia, Oxycanta III & Passages. Anoebis
Connect.Ohm you cannot miss, serious... And CBL/Aes Dana/Solar Fields/Asura of course

Dolmot
I tried to compile a list from stuff I own, and after narrowing it down I ended up with INRE009: Carbon Based Lifeforms - Hydroponic Garden INRE030: Hol Baumann - Human INRE052: Connect.Ohm - 9980 "Bubbling under" was INRE002: Fahrenheit Project Part One INRE017: Solar Fields - Leaving Home INRE052: Sync24 - Comfortable Void INRE062: Miktek - Elsewhere INRE070: Circular - Moon Pool But it seriously depends on what you want - more rhythmic, pure ambient, artist albums, compilations, classic releases, new stuff... (I could have listed all CBL and a few more from Solar Fields but you can go there yourself after trying one example first.) Ordering Asura - Radio Universe next...and just noticed it's INRE057. That's filling a gap 14 slots backward from the current catalogue index. Interesting.
Manuser
Great recommendations, so I tried to listen to some stuff you recommended and the ones I prefer are the Connect.ohm album, Asura - Life² and Aes Dana - Leylines. Not too much fan of VA - Oxycanta. I'll get the Connect.ohm album for sure and probably Leylines as well. Didn't listen to CBL yet though. In no particular order: Solar Fields - Until We Meet The Sky Sync24 - Comfortable Void Miktek - Elsewhere CBL - World of Sleepers Connect.Ohm - 9980 But there are so many good albums and comps. Manuser
I actually bought it on Discogs for 17 euros including shipping, a bit expensive but I like it. Discogs prices piss me off more and more though, really push you to download and not buy for lots of CDs.
