koplev Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 Hi, I'm very new at electronic music. I recently, by accident, listened to some music by an old friend and found that I quite liked it. When I asked what the genre was, I was told that it was some kind of psychill. One of the things I like is when there is lots of spoken words/ samples of voices in the music (I do not know why, but it relaxes me in some way). So can any one recommend anything with a lot of speech in it? The music that started me on this can be found here (if anybody wants to give it a try): https://soundcloud.com/spacetours/ Quote
Purple Sunray Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 hmm.. something in between ambient and techno. Don't know if there is a name for it.. Techbient? Quote
Ormion Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 Not psybient, but Bvdub has a lot of voices in his music. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yjwRrsx_Qdc Quote
Manuser Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 This album http://www.discogs.com/Capsula-Synthesis-Of-Reality/release/562303can be considered as "psychill" I guess. There are quite a few vocal samples in it, so maybe you can give it a try, check on youtube someone uploaded the full album here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=svCpqmshHn4 Quote
