The company asked me if i could order 150 copies, so they could press them istead of writing them. I asked for a confirmal if they would indeed press those (with a glassmaster) because i thought 2x 150 copies are not enough to make a glassmaster & press them. Again, I got a confirmal... Afterwards i was contacted to sabam, belgian copyright "authority". They needed to send a non-profilation agreement because they where contacted via that company and this was needed to PRESS them. This was the first time i needed this, with written copies, this was not needed. Yesterday I contacted the company to complain about the fact that these are cd-r's. They where denying this. They said they where pressed, they have both glassmasters and they would send me prove... For people who understand dutch, they can see the printscreens of all those mails here: https://www.facebook.com/events/615038071957249/615348025259587/ So you understand that i can't do anything about this and asked and was promised CD's instead of CD-R's. How can I prove these are cd-r's... OF course i will send a registered complain letter asking a part of my money back. I hope this all works and i could sell them cheaper... kvd Posted April 29, 2015 Author Share Posted April 29, 2015 just had the reply that it's indeed duplication, because it had to go to fast... but i also paid fast-processing costs, so i assumed it still would be printed, they wanted to deliver it at the release date, at the party, I would made the choice to delay the release a little bit, but they made the choice themself to duplicate them instead of printing and deliver it on time... i'm trying to get a partly refund, because i payed printing costs instead of duplication AND a fast-processing fee. If I get a refund, I can and will sell cheaper of course, it's not my goal to make a huge profit, i'm happy if i get my investment back... I do not rip off and paid enough to the company, thinking it was printed and a good fee for tromesa... I had a loss of about 5-600 euro at the party and still have 25-30 copies left... So i can't offer a refund or something untill i know more about my own refund... Sorry guys, but i hope you still enjoy... Both are really rare albums, it's a perfect duplication and you really support the artist by buying this, even if it's an cd-r.
