Penzoline
Nevermind the topic tags, this thread is for killargh full-on releases (of 2015) where you are just too lazy to write a review for it(in hopes of someone else doing it for you). I accidentally stumbled upon this release and ended up loving it. Classic full-on with a proper full-ony sample. Scandinasia
Mmmm, I'm skeptical. Can we still speak of proper "full-on" in 2015 ? Let me explain. Psyprog has become closer to full-on, and full-on to psyprog, over these past few years. Those genres have kept merging together, and today, I really have a hard time categorizing wether a track belong to the "full-on prog" or to the "progressive full-on" category. According to me, it's becoming harder and harder to make a clear distinction between the 2 genres nowadays. How acurate is this concept ? Am I the only one feeling this ?

Penzoline
Idk what's gotten into me but I'm really liking full-on again. Mmmm, I'm skeptical. Can we still speak of proper "full-on" in 2015 ? They've gotten really close for sure..But for example on the above I wouldn't consider Ovnimoon full-on, but rest yes. Psilo.. not sure. Imba
Ovnimoon and Skyfall are progressive, Dirty Saffi is night psy/forest Djantrix and Yar Zaa are rocking very good, im enjoying them too
Bill
Ovnimoon and Skyfall are progressive, Dirty Saffi is night psy/forest Djantrix and Yar Zaa are rocking very good, im enjoying them too Ovnimoon's newest album is much more full-on than progressive, its very nice how low on the progressive flavors it is. Dirty Saffi is twilight music which I still consider to be full-on, just a more aggressive display of full-on, as it were. With both, I suppose it depends on where you draw the lines. Like Scandinasia was suggesting, it's tricky these days. Yar Zaa is always, ALWAYS, a good time, one of my favorite full-on artists. Glad you're digging him! BraneFreeze
Any more recommendations for Yar Zaa? I've acquired a few tracks over the years, but more by accident than design.
Bill
Any more recommendations for Yar Zaa? I've acquired a few tracks over the years, but more by accident than design. This one is very good, his only full-length album so far. One of my favorites from all of last year: http://www.discogs.com/Yar-Zaa-Lights-Shadows/release/5646017 I like this track in particular: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Drb8AOzi5Qg
Penzoline
The new U-recken was average but a few good tracks
theqlogic87
Agree, U-Recken new album was sub par his other ones, his production is still top notch. Thumping yet laidback Full-on nonetheless. 7.5/
K-BAN
I came into this thread to see what is "good" these days ;p since Im a huge lover of classic psy/full-on and still collecting the many releases from 03/04 alone. with goodies before and after those years as well. I gotta say Im surprised. While I really dislike Disorder's basslines, I can hear the classic sound in the music. That second track I like more. Thanks Penz for that! The Dirty Saffi track I really like! much better bassline with the madness and random attacks. that soecific track I see more in the full-on light. I dont know the artist otherwise (only the name) on if they are mainly more twlight or not as commented. The Yar Zaa track is ok. If it exploded a bit more with that melody I may have released some drool ;p We all know the hate psy and full-on can get on these boards. For me it makes more sense from say the past 7 years til now. Many artists are going for 'standard' and not breaking into their own sound. the standard efx and noises/sounds continue to be what a track is. Worse when I find tracks that take this and dont put energy into it. Remember the energy distortion radiance 3D vision had in their releases? Or the melodic layers and explosions that were all over psy? Especially within the Israeli scene. I want that back! The last artist to really wow me was Jaws Underground and hes definitely more twlight now than ever. I liked seeing what was here. keep the tracks coming! its keeps me from checking out ho-hum releases ;p
Bill
The Declaration Of Unity guys are a goa producer and a forest producer. Yet, this is the best full-on album I've heard this year. It's morning-style full-on and it is absolutely fantastic! http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/gre/gre1cd050.html Mysteries Of Psytrance Volume 4 (http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/ovn/ovn2cd100.html) is pure night-time full-on, some great fucking tracks in there. Declaration Of Unity have the best track there, I feel. More morning-style stuff on this track. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-7vbUnv9Tk

More morning-style stuff on this track. thanks. wow, that's a really nice series of compilations. i'm just listening through some of vol. 4. that gives me hope for the future of psytrance. psychedelic music with melodies, that's neither cheesy, nor has any sort of crossover with electro/minimal, nor does it use the cheap tricks that are the reason psytrance became shit ( ). but i wouldn't call it night-time fullon exactly. that moonweed track is more goa than anything else and the rest goes from night-time fullon, to fullon, to progressive, to psytrance-not-further-classifiable. Penzoline
Yum yum yum I think one of the reasons I started to like full-on more was the fact you just don't get these technological dark cyberpunk atmospheres in goa. That pad @ 5:00.. breathless.
