Penzoline
If you go search even for a few year old Ultimae releases you'll find they're all sold out and have crazy prices on discogs. What gives? Haven't they figured out that people like their music or what?
Starkraver
So true! It's very annoying. Forget the old ones (before 2005) 2011 releases will be sold out. Especially the album CD's. Oh heck! Neither the artist solo albums nor the compilations of your choice will be available!! I ended up dropping them a mail about this. I should have asked this: What gives? Haven't they figured out that people like their music or what? I also mentioned how getting to know about their label only recently and the plight of new Ultimae records fan of finding their old CD's. I had a specific list of CD's in the mail, I wanted to know whether they'll repressed. Sadly! As of now they had no such plans. CBL- these are releasing Remastered versions ofHydrophonic Garden and World Of Sleepers later this year. I really hope they re-release atleast their most famous/noted releases in the coming years. mars
I know they repressed some Fahrenheit and some old Solar Fields and CBL too I think, not sure it has happened since. Maybe there is a distortion between demand and offer. Maybe the demand is not enough to require an extra of batch from the press, but it is sufficient to make the prices increase. We have the same problem, and it's really hard to estimate. Or maybe they just don't own the rigths anymore!
Starkraver
This just gets worse when you encounter old gems like H.U.V.A Network - Distances (I think it's safe to say that for every Ultimae cd you miss out, you'll have to keep aside 50 euros!)
