Don’t you just love fresh and new, when you come across something that just snaps from its confines and shouts over here, over here, look at me, look at me. This is exactly what new EP, The Fallen, from OCD does. A couple of pups from South Africa, OCD have announced themselves as a pair of bright young things with this new Free-Spirit Records release. As Dillan M and Octoclutch, they did their time as individual contributors to the scene both in their home country and current reside London but since coming together as a duo they have fully let loose their creative abilities. Re-imagining the world and re-fashioning it into a package that brings a new definitive to full-on psychedelic trance. The four tracks on this EP each a separate entity, each standing alone, each standing out. There being no theme here rather you enter one realm indulge in all its delights step out of it and bang you are into another, very different to the last but of equal joy and wonder. This continuing through all four tunes so that by the end the experience has been massive. Title track, The Fallen, has a cheeky sample that will resonate long after listening and surely result it being one that will be played and played for years to come, check it out for yourself and you’ll know what I mean. Also included is a homage to OCD’s new surrounds at Free-Spirit Records, remixing label fave Tron’s Evolution Revolution; lifting the searing beauty of the original and infusing it with renewed energy so that it soars anew. All-in-all the EP’s total actuality is something that will result in it being an icon for years to come as these two continue on their journey, one they have only just begun. OCD is a collaborative full on project between Dillan M and Octoclutch

Recently formed duo OCD are Dillan M and long time friend Alan Gross (Octoclutch) both from the motherland South Africa. Both now based in London town, feeding at the bosom of psychedelic trance, OCD are blasting upwards.
Already with releases on labels Free-Spirit Records, Antu Records and Flying Spores Records, it was only a matter of time before they hit the stages of world taking their enthusiastic, infectious and upbeat sound to the masses.
There is a certain sunniness to the OCD interpretation of psychedelic trance, and considering their birthplace its probably not surprising, and whilst it is also complex and intelligent it is the lightness of mood that is generated that directly characterises who they are at the moment, relaxed, unforced positivity emanating from their wonderful diversity. A meeting of like minds therefore as OCD take to the podium for years to come…
